Shake Things Up with Studio 1939’s “Palette of Sounds” Cocktail Menu!

Already known for its trend-setting drinks and cosy atmosphere, Studio 1939 is jazzing up the bar scene once again with its latest masterpiece: The “Palette of Sounds” menu! Borrowing inspiration from various artistic and musical backgrounds, the new list of highlights blends a vibrant range of spirits and regional ingredients in a manner that’s synonymous with a painter mixing colours on a palette to craft their perfect vision.

Kavish Hurrydoss, the Bar Manager and Head Bartender behind this venture, meticulously crafts every drink like a maestro, composing his next masterpiece. “Much like a work of art, the drinks really are up for interpretation depending on your perspective,” he explains.

Head Bartender Kavish Hurrydoss focuses on the cocktails being easy and simple, yet still fun and complex

This rings true in the myriad of flavours one can experience within the Palette of Sounds” menu; an experience that covers the melodic spectrum.

From the smooth jazz-infused tones of the Ottis Rock (S$26) — concocted using bourbon, coffee, chocolate, green apple and a zap of jalapeno — to the fruity notes of Rhythm and Vase (S$23), made with a low ABV mix of vermouth, watermelon, yuzu, citrus, Perrier and Aer. Each brings its own expression.

Here are just some other lineups to discover:

  • Imagine Dragon (S$23); A highball-styled cocktail presenting the striking red hues of dragon fruit with gin, peach, pineapple, calamansi and lemongrass.
  • Sun Won’t Set (S$26); A spice-forward mix of chaat masala, mango citrus, mace and curry leaf mixed with mezcal and tequila.
  • Voice of the Moon (S$21); Incorporating Cambodian Samai Kampot pepper with a fruity, savoury blend of rum, starfruit, coconut, lime and salt.
