Dual-Spinning Mops
Roborock debuts its dual-spinning mops in the Roborock Q Revo. These dual mops spin while pressing down, effortlessly removing stains with a whopping 200 RPM (revolutions per minute) spinning speed. It also contains an automatic mop lifting feature, enabling the mop to lift to 7mm high when a carpet is detected, letting users mop their hard floors and vacuum carpets in a single clean – so no trail stains and wet carpets!
We put the dual-spinning mops to the test by “spilling” some Coca-Cola and coffee on the floor (We all know how stubborn these stains can be). We stood with bated breaths, and of course, the Q Revo came through! It effectively cleaned up our “mess”, and no stains were left behind; it was like a magic show.
Fully Detachable Dock Base
Part of luxury is ease. With the Roborock Q Revo, cleaning your home is easy, and maintaining the Q Revo is even easier. We hear all about the ruthlessly tedious task of cleaning your Q Revo and its contents; now, that process is simple. Its fully detachable dock base makes this otherwise back-breaking (almost literally) task a breeze.
All you have to do is remove the dock base from its position, give it a good clean, and put it back in to let the action continue. Is cleaning constantly hard work? Never with the Roborock Q Revo!
Multifunctional Dock
Part of cleaning with luxury is hands-free cleaning. And the multifunctional dock allows exactly that. The dock comes with a slew of features that make it maintenance-free and hassle-free.
First of all, it self-washes. After every round of cleaning, the Q Revo returns to the dock to spin and scrub the mop pads along the dock base, keeping them clean. After that, it also self-dries, with the mop pads dried completely with warm air (at a toasty 45°C) – preventing any nasty odours and mould growth, keeping your Q Revo and your home fresh!
Let’s not forget its self-emptying feature! All the dirt picked up by the robot vacuum on its last round will be emptied on its own into the dock (just like magic!). And you can wait up to 7 weeks to empty out the dock, meaning less frequent maintenance. The same goes for self-refilling water. All you have to do is fill the dock’s tank with water, and the dock automatically fills up the robot vacuum ahead of a mopping routine – maximising its coverage of up to 400 sqm every run.
Reactive Tech Obstacle Avoidance with PreciSense LiDAR Navigation
These may sound like big words, but this basically means that the Roborock Q Revo can avoid any obstacles or potential hazards in its way.
Before you start your cleaning adventures, we advise using the mobile app to map your home. The in-built PreciSense scans your home, creates a detailed map for the optimal cleanup route, and even provides you with 3D mapping for increased convenience! Your robot vacuum will then take this route during every clean, slickly avoiding any obstacle.
We tried this out at our office, and we were stunned. We sent the Q Revo on a journey to map out the entire office, and it made its way throughout our entire space. It marked out all the obstacles in its path (like our myriad of tables and chairs) and deftly avoided them. We have wire skirting around the office, which the Q Revo ably crossed over, albeit with some struggle at some points. When we checked out the 3D map, we realised that it even identified our meeting rooms and divided them for us. Magic? Nah. Roborock? Hell, yes.
Mobile App – ‘Roborock’
The mobile app is the backbone of every Roborock vacuum, and its complete feature set will make you feel like the ringmaster in your own home.
Every control you could possibly need is right at your fingertips. Customise your robot vacuum’s settings to fit your home’s needs – we already mentioned the mapping of the homes, but you can go further by dividing areas into rooms (and naming them!). You can also make no-go zones to ensure that your device doesn’t go where it doesn’t need to be.
There’s more! Create cleaning schedules, immediately do spot cleans with ‘Pin-N-Go’ when there’s a spill, initiate washing of the mops, or use the app’s remote control to manually guide your Q Revo to its destination.
