Barry’s Singapore Launch: The Creators Of The HIIT Workout Open Their Flagship Studio In Asia

Barry’s, the legendary gym that pioneered the foray into High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workouts in 1998 is bringing its breathtakingly high-intensity workouts (literally) to the heart of Singapore.

Adored by celebrities around the world, Barry’s first ever studio in Asia will be opening on 11 May 2019, at Level 3, 18 Robinson Road. Barry’s Singapore is owned by Fitness and Lifestyle Group (FLG).

Barry’s Singapore studio spans across 4,293ft2, featuring a minimalist industrial space comprising of the brand’s signature Red Room, alongside the Fuel Bar, a retail space, and fully-equipped changing room facilities.

A game changer since its inception in 1998 – founded in West Hollywood, Los Angeles – with over 20 years of expert development, Barry’s is branded as the original HIIT workout creator.

Dubbed the “best workout in the world”, core to Barry’s brand DNA is an end-to-end luxury client experience. Concierge-style studio service is offered alongside high-end changing facilities, premium grooming products, and their renowned Fuel Bar.

The Red Room

The studio’s highlight, the Red Room, is fitted with 21 treadmills and 27 benches that is primed to deliver its renowned HIIT workouts lasting 50-minutes. Each of these workouts is programmed with a split of 25 minutes of cardio and 25 minutes of strength and conditioning, inviting participants to get “Barry’d” during their workout experience.

Barry’s classes incorporate interval-based cardiovascular routines on specially designed Barry’s Woodway treadmills, with strength and conditioning exercises using free weights and equipment.

Each class also includes a stretch and cool-down period. The Barry’s program is designed to tone muscle, incinerate fats by burning up to 1000 calories, and create a spike in metabolism for up to 48 hours after.

Barry’s Singapore incorporates weekly class schedule uniquely curated by certified Barry’s instructors in charge of personalising a weekly calendar of sessions that target independent muscle groups each day of the week, from ‘Arms & Abs’, ‘Abs & Ass’, ‘Chest, Back, & Abs’, and ‘Total Body’; through to ‘Full Body (Lower Focus)’ and ‘Full Body (Upper Focus)’ sessions to ensure participants achieve the best workout, at every point.

Fuel Bar

Barry’s Singapore features the studio’s acclaimed Fuel Bar where participants are presented with a highly nutritious and invigorating menu serving Barry’s signature protein and superfood smoothie recipes that are approved by nutritionists to optimise post-workout muscle group recovery.

Smoothies can be customised to dietary restrictions.
