Get Animated Invasion: Marvin The Martian Takes Over Raffles City

The unprecedented charity initiative “Get Animated Invasion” by Warner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP) made a final stop at Raffles City Shopping Centre from Wednesday, 13 February till Sunday, 3 March 2019, the program was part of the “Get Animated Invasion” Asia Tour, which covered Taipei, Beijing, Hong Kong and Singapore, featuring Warner Bros.’ iconic cartoon characters from Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry and Scooby-Doo.

The pop-up exhibition at Level 3 of Raffles City boasted a gallery of close to 80 uniquely customised Marvin The Martian figurines created by Asia-renowned musicians, designers, artists, influencers and personalities – including Aaron Kwok, Fann Wong, Mark Lee and many more!

The figurines exhibited were auctioned off online at the end of the Tour, with 100% of the proceeds going to support Make-A-Wish International charity in granting the wishes of children aged between 3 to 18 with life-threatening medical conditions.

That was not all – famous Warner Bros. characters Bugs Bunny, Scooby-Doo and Tom and Jerry were at the exhibition,  whisking members of the public off to the world of Warner Bros. Through the Augmented Reality (AR) photo points scattered around the exhibition,. Marvin’s clones could be seen invading the cartoon realms of the fan-favourite characters.

Collectors were also able to check out the pop-up store located at Level 1 Garden Court of Raffles City Singapore, which sold an extensive range of Warner Bros. Consumer Products merchandise including limited-edition goods. A “Get Animated Invasion” tote bag – specially created for and exclusively available at the Asia tour – was available for sale at the pop-up store during the campaign period; with profits from the sale of the tote bags being donated to Make-A-Wish International as well.

In line with Get Animated Invasion, Warner Bros. Consumer Products and Pacific Licensing Studio has worked with business partners to roll out collaborative products – including merchandise at Action City and Meykrs, accessories at SK Jewellery and Looney Tunes and Tom & Jerry designed cakes at Polar Puffs & Cakes.
