Alt. Pizza Opens Its Fifth Outlet at Holland Village with a Brand-New Look

Homegrown pizza chain Alt. Pizza opened its newest outlet at Holland Village and sports a fresh new look!

Alt. Pizza - Holland Village Interior

Featuring hand-painted and street art inspired motifs customised for the outlet and catchy taglines in a mix of vibrant colours, the new take on its interior reiterates the brand’s philosophy of serving simple and honest food, all with a dash of fun.

Inside the kitchen – where the magic takes place – are three artisan bakers who run the entire back-of-house operations. This is made possible thanks to a carefully hand-crafted and raised five-year-old sourdough starter, affectionately named ‘Sophia’. Sophia is the backbone in preparing Alt. Pizza’s signature pizza dough. Gently kneaded with the trained hands of artisan bakers, the sourdough is made daily and portioned after proofing, then pressed and hand-stretched upon order.

Ever wondered how your pizzas at Alt. Pizza are served within just minutes of ordering? Not to worry, for they do not “reheat pre-made pizzas”.

Their swift process is owing to their stone hearth pizza oven, which is so hot that it takes an average of only 90 seconds to cook each pizza to perfection!

New Promotional Pizzas

Left to right: Rocketman and Wicked Veg (SG$18 each)

To celebrate the opening of its Holland Village outlet, Alt. Pizza has introduced two new pizzas – Rocketman and Wicked Veg. The Rocketman features vine-ripened tomato sauce, Calabrese-style salami and roasted red peppers, topped with fresh rocket and extra virgin olive oil, while the Wicked Veg is a vegetarian alternative, with roasted sweet pumpkin, cherry tomatoes, earthy spinach, garlic, parmesan and feta.

As its name suggests, the Wicked Veg is wickedly good

Personally, I preferred the Wicked Veg over the Rocketman. Despite the obvious lack of meat, the mix of parmesan and feta had me digging in bite after bite. Meanwhile, the Rocketman did not seem to strike as something out of the ordinary as it tasted like your regular salami pizza topped off with a generous serving of rocket.

The Rocketman and Wicked Veg pizzas are only available till 30 April 2019, so be sure to try them before they’re gone!

Starters

In addition to their signature pizzas, Alt. Pizza also serves up a neat line-up of starters and desserts. Can’t get enough of truffle? Then add on a side of Fries with Truffled Mayo! Their truffle fries are topped with cheddar cheese and come with a side of truffle mayo to sweeten the deal. Or if you prefer something spicy, give the Alt. Wings a try.

While they are served with your usual choice of sauce – hot wing, hickory BBQ, or chilli garlic – I would highly recommend going for the chilli garlic sauce. Made with chilli padi, red chilli, chicken stock, ginger, garlic and lime juice, Alt.’s chilli garlic sauce is reminiscent of the chilli that is usually served alongside Hainanese chicken rice.

Rocky Road

Rocky Road (SG$6) with Vanilla Ice Cream (SG$3 per scoop)

End your meal with Rocky Road – this classic dessert includes a luscious mix of sticky marshmallows, shortbread biscuits, crunchy almonds, coconut, dark and white chocolate. Rocky Road is best enjoyed warm, or take it up a notch and add a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream for a sinful delight!
