The Housing and Development Board announced yesterday (December 9) that the popular “Instagram Tree” located at Punggol Waterway Park will be removed on December 16, referred to here as The Day The Tree Leaves. The barren tree is/was a well-known attraction online, with its uniquely desolate surroundings (sunset beyond its knoll, no other trees nearby) painting a rather bleak and intriguing picture.
