Ed Sheeran Live in Singapore: Fans Advised Against Purchasing Resale Tickets
Ed Sheeran will be headlining at the mammoth National Stadium on Friday, 26 April 2019. It comes as no surprise seeing how he performed to sold-out shows at the 5,000-capacity Star Theatre in 2015, and two nights at the 10,000-capacity Singapore Indoor Stadium in 2017. Performing his largest tour yet, Ed Sheeran’s return to Singapore is part of his ‘Divide World Tour’, which spans over two years. The global sensation should require little introduction: In just last year alone, Ed Sheeran won two Grammy Awards and clinched the Billboard Music Awards for both Top Artist and Top Male Artist. He…

Copeland Live In Singapore: A Triumphant Return
The lights fell sharply across each face as a swelling crowd of voices sang along to Copeland’s endearing number “Coffee”. It was an incredibly intimate moment and the slightly-older-than-young-adult crowd cheered as the first chorus ended. Last week’s gig at TAB Singapore marked Copeland’s fourth time playing in Singapore, and their first since reuniting in 2014. In a live environment, their songs bear a different weight, somehow transforming into something new like a flower’s blossom. The resulting sound is a solemn affair that melds softly together at the edges, evoking emotions that are almost tangible. It’s not difficult to close your eyes and…

Interview: Copeland Talk Their Legacy, Future Plans, and Their Dream Music Collabs
Photos by Jovi Ho for DANamic.ORG Emo music hit its heyday in the 2000s and at that time, Copeland enjoyed a modest amount of attention for their songs about love and relationships. Back then, everyone (well, all the cool people at least) was burning “Priceless” on mixtape CDs for that one special person. Comprising Aaron Marsh (vocals), Jonathan Bucklew (drums), and brothers Bryan and Stephen Laurenson (lead and rhythm guitars respectively), the band had recorded 5 albums and 3 EPs before their break-up in 2010. Four years later, the band have decided to reunite and have another crack at it. While their new album…

The Heart Wants Selena Gomez: From Disney To The Indoor Stadium
Remember the time when a baby-faced Selena Gomez was part of the Disney DNA? Back when she was (mildly) overshadowed by (then-) BFFs Demi Lovato and Miley Cyrus? Well this Disney child star has come a long way and proves that she deserves to be in the spotlight. Selena Gomez has come a long way since her Disney days. Since starting out on “Barney & Friends”, she showed that she has a knack for music as well as acting. She moved on and shined as the lead in Disney’s “Wizards of Waverly Place” playing the sassy witch-in-training Alex Russo, where…

Should You Return: Copeland Makes a Comeback
The last we saw of indie rock band Copeland was at one of their final shows in 2010, as we bid them a tearful farewell before their break up. Fast forward to the present and the band are back together with a new album and a new date in Singapore! Copeland’s return to Singapore is organised by Snowbird Productions, who was previously responsible for bringing in Against The Current and Lenka. The show has been set for Tuesday, 3rd May 2016 at TAB Singapore with tickets now available from Peatix. Tickets are $78 for general admission and $98 at the door. There…

Neck Deep: Moshing, Surfing, Diving
This January has seen a spate of unseasonal showers (and wet laundry) but it wasn’t just water falling last Wednesday. Over at *SCAPE The Ground Theatre, stage divers were falling off the stage at a rate of one every ten seconds, goaded by their friends and the music as they moshed. We lost count of how many people dived or surfed (or for a few, failed to dive or surf), we just know it was a lot of fans. Such was the intensity of the moshing at Neck Deep‘s very first performance in Singapore during the 2016 World Tour. Even vocalist…

Muse Is Back… With Supermassive Black Balls
If you were there that night, you would agree that there was an air of expectancy for a rocking good time at Muse‘s concert. Performing at the Singapore Indoor Stadium last Saturday, the English rock trio played hit after hit from their impressive 20-year run as Grammy-award-winning rockers. Known for their energetic live performances, Muse certainly did not disappoint. Starting off their setlist with “Psycho“, the new song definitely psyched everyone up! “Reapers” reminds us why lead singer and guitarist Matthew Bellamy is just… beyond awesome. Playing his riffs so effortlessly, we were left speechless at his insane guitar skills. When the intro…
