Island Lights: Pikachu Night Parade

Everyone’s favourite Pokémon will be joining the Island Lights party this year! Grab a spot along that route to capture sights of Pikachu performing and dancing along to funky beats!

Island Lights

Here are some of the featured art installations that Sentosa’s Island Lights has to offer:

KTVMTV by Mash-Up

Island Lights: KTVMTV

Mash-Up is a local independent label that creates bold garments featuring tongue-in-cheek references to ’90s pop culture, revolutions, and everything in between.

Combining the traditionally tacky designs of karaoke studios and the vibes of a ’90s music video,  KTVMTV is created as a space where you can live out your inner teenage fantasies of being a superstar!

Harmony by Tina Fung

Island Lights: Harmony

Tina Fung is a multidisciplinary designer and artist who also co-founded Space Objekt, a creative design studio specialising in creating unique experiences for audiences to interact within built environments.

Island Lights: Harmony Visitors

Inspired by music, the universal language of mankind, Harmony explores the intersection between art, set design, interaction, and environment. The installation juxtaposes the physical set with the natural music of its environment – the sounds of the sea. Harmony was also designed to interact with sunlight and the sea, transforming itself throughout the day.

GeoHolo by Ying Jie and Megan

Island Lights: GeoHolo

Ying Jie and Megan are undergraduate students from the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) who share a passion for contemporary architecture.

Island Lights: GeoHolo

Inspired by the wonders of what music can do in our lives, GeoHolo may seem like a dull black rock from the outside; but step within and you will find yourself in a giant cavern of raw gems. The medley of lights reflecting off the inner walls is a stark contrast to the installation’s dull exterior, representing how music can instantly uplift and provide us with a sense of escapism.
