Trash or Treasure? Storage Hunter Simulator Hits PS5 and Xbox on 24 November

Storage Hunter Simulator is the storage-auction game from German publisher astragon Entertainment and developer Racoons Studios. astragon has scheduled it for PlayStation 5 (PS5) and Xbox Series X|S on 24 November 2026.

The idea fits in one breath. You bid blind on other people’s forgotten belongings and hope something valuable is hiding under the dust.

Bid First, Ask Questions Later

According to astragon’s 3 November release, players compete with rival bidders at auctions across town to win the contents of garages, storage rooms and containers. Whatever you win, you haul away, sort through and try to sell at a profit, and the publisher says there are thousands of unique items to dig up.

The clever wrinkle is that you can’t price your finds yourself at the start. You take items to experts for identification, and the tools to value goods on your own only unlock once your business has grown. It’s a smart bit of design, because it turns the opening hours into an apprenticeship where every “Wait, is this worth anything?” moment costs you a trip across town.

From there, astragon describes a rags-to-riches climb. You buy your own pawnshop, then expand into a network of them, spending on tools, upgrades and employees along the way. The open world covers five districts with secrets to find. There are seven vehicles, each with trunk storage and fuel management, so cargo space and the fuel gauge both become part of your profit calculations.

Three Friends, One Bank Account

This is the part most likely to land in your group chat. Storage Hunter Simulator runs as a single-player game or as drop-in, drop-out cooperative (co-op) multiplayer with up to three friends joining your session.

The catch, according to astragon, is that the whole crew shares a single company bank account, and the bills still arrive on schedule. Teams can attend auctions together or split up and cover several at once to squeeze out more profit. That plan works well until one friend overspends, which makes agreeing on a budget before bidding opens the real boss fight!

Players who would rather relax than argue over money get an easy mode built for a laid-back run, with a hard mode for anyone chasing a tougher challenge. Achievements and hundreds of unlockable items and cosmetics round things out, along with options to customise how your character looks.

Which Edition Should You Bid On?

The Storage Hunter Simulator – No Refunds Edition pairs the base game with the Storage Hunter Simulator – Expansion Pass, which astragon says contains five themed downloadable content (DLC) packs:

  • Backyard Starter Pack
  • Lights, Camera, Auction! Pack
  • Probably Worth Millions Pack
  • Mum Said Throw It Away Pack
  • Collector’s Display Pack

The edition suits anyone who already knows they want everything.

Our pick is the No Refunds Edition for anyone planning to play co-op with friends. A shared bank account is chaos enough without a teammate missing half the content. Solo players who are only curious can start with the standard edition. On names alone, the Mum Said Throw It Away Pack wins, since it describes every storage unit ever opened.

Read the Reviews First

Console players have an advantage most launch-day buyers lack. Browsing them before 24 November is a sensible way to work out whether the bidding, sorting and selling loop is a grind you’d enjoy.

Release dates can shift between an announcement and launch day, so treat 24 November as astragon’s planned date and add the game to your wishlist on your console’s store to stay posted.
