Twelve Doors, S$120: TWG Tea’s Advent Calendar Waits for Christmas Day

Most advent calendars are empty by 25 December. TWG Tea’s 2026 Twelfth Night Advent Calendar starts on that day instead. It costs S$120 for 12 mini tea tins, went on sale at TWGTea.com on 28 October 2026, and is in Singapore boutiques from 5 November 2026.

The timing matters if it’s a gift. Hand it over before Christmas and the recipient has twelve doors to open while the rest of the household is clearing wrapping paper and wondering how to fill the stretch until New Year.

A Countdown That Starts Late

The Singapore tea house, founded here in 2008, built this calendar around the traditional twelve days of Christmas. Instead of counting down to the big day, it runs from Christmas Day into the New Year. The name comes from Twelfth Night, the evening that closes those twelve days, which is why the calendar has twelve doors where most have 24.

The calendar is rendered in the house’s signature canary yellow. According to the brand, each door hides a Mini Tea Tin drawn from its fine harvests and exclusive blends, alongside a “festive surprise”. TWG calls the whole thing a “modern cabinet of curiosities”, which suits a box you open one compartment at a time.

You’re buying a gift and a daily ritual as much as a tea supply, so it works best for someone who already reaches for TWG’s yellow tins. For a December-long countdown, look elsewhere. For someone who wants the festive mood to last until January, this one fits!

The calendar went on sale exclusively on TWGTea.com, with boutiques following from 5 November. The brand describes it as a limited edition, so if you have a particular person in mind, buying early is the safer move.

The Three Festive Picks Worth Your Money

The calendar arrives with a full Festive Collection. Three items stand out for practical reasons.

The Joy of Christmas Mini Tea Tin is the strongest small gift in the range. It’s a black tea with spiced fruits and a trace of chocolate, and TWG suggests it for a place setting or a stocking. As a mini tin, it’s an easy Secret Santa answer that still looks like you made an effort.

Red Christmas Tea is the one to pour after dinner. TWG describes it as a theine-free red tea (theine is the tea world’s word for caffeine) brightened with citrus and warm holiday spices, so it won’t keep anyone up after a long festive meal. You can pair either with the Red Christmas Shortbread Cookies (S$24), which use the same citrus and spice notes.

The Tea Teddy Taster (S$98) suits the friend who has everything. It holds eight varieties of TWG’s Tea Teddies in miniature 50g gift boxes. These are white tea-infused fruit gums that dissolve into a delicate infusion, and the brand says each Tea Teddy comes with its own limited-edition Miniature Gold Teddy Charm.

The bigger sets cost more and are more formal gifts. The World Voyage Christmas Tea Set (S$160) holds six blends in miniature Caviar Tea Tins. The Grand Explorer Tea Set (S$83) pairs two 50g teas in caviar tea tins with a silver TWG Tea Scoop in a gift box. All of these follow the calendar’s schedule: online from 28 October and in boutiques from 5 November.

Sweets With Shorter Windows

The edible items run on different calendars, so check the dates before you plan a trip.

The Red Christmas Tea & Pistachio Macarons pair the house’s festive tea with pistachio ganache.

The Red Christmas Tea & Hazelnut Chocolate Bonbons use the same prices and box sizes, but you’ll only find them at two outlets: TWG Tea on the Bay at Marina Bay Sands and TWG Tea Takashimaya, Basement 2. If you’re near either one between 5 November and 31 December, they’re the most limited item in the collection.

Log cakes arrive last. The Hazelnut, Chestnut & Orange Log Cake layers Red Christmas Tea-infused chestnut mousse with orange crémeux, mango-orange confit and hazelnut sponge. The Signature Chocolate Log Cake uses French Earl Grey with chocolate mousse, roasted hazelnut praline and baked meringue.

A Silver Teddy Charm With Every Order

There’s a small bonus for buyers this season. TWG Tea says a new Silver Teddy Charm comes with every retail purchase at its Singapore boutiques and on TWGTea.com. That includes the mini tins, so even the smallest gift arrives with something to clip onto a bag or tie onto a ribbon.
