HighHouse and NOVA November 2026: Breakup Kits and Boba

Somebody at HighHouse decided heartbreak deserves its own goodie bag, and on Friday, 20 November 2026 you can pick one up, tissues and lottery scratch cards included. This guide covers the four November nights at HighHouse and NOVA, the sister venues at the top of One Raffles Place in the Central Business District (CBD), for anyone in Singapore whose calendar between Deepavali and December still looks suspiciously empty.

A Goodie Bag for the Lovesick

Lonely Hearts Club is HighHouse’s monthly Mandopop (Mandarin pop) night, built around the bittersweet ballads that, in the venue’s own words, have soundtracked “generations of lovers and the lovesick”. The anniversary edition comes with a Breakup Kit goodie bag holding lottery scratch cards, tissues and temporary tattoos, which is about as honest a summary of getting dumped as anyone has managed to fit in a bag.

The programme leans hard into audience participation. There’s an open sing-along where everyone is invited to take the mic, plus a Mandopop lookalike contest whose winner walks away with a complimentary bottle, and a specially curated cocktail list inspired by the genre’s nostalgia and emotions rounds things off.

This is the night we’d book first. The kit is a great gag, but the open mic is what makes the evening, because a sing-along lives or dies on whoever is brave enough to grab the microphone first, and a room primed with tissues and themed cocktails sounds like a crowd that will not need much coaxing.

If friends have ever told you that you look a bit like a Mandopop star, this is the one night that comment could win you a bottle. Dig out the right jacket, practise the brooding stare and commit to it!

Deepavali Goes Y2K

November opens on Sunday, 8 November, Deepavali itself, and with the public holiday making way for a long weekend, NOVA is running an after-hours session on its rooftop from 10pm. The soundtrack is Y2K (turn-of-the-millennium) anthems, nostalgic hits and familiar throwbacks, so expect the songs you once burned onto CDs rather than anything from this year’s charts.

On the decks are resident DJ SAMROVE and Jerms, a Singapore-based open-format DJ, meaning he hops between genres, with sets spanning hip-hop, R&B and electronic beats. Jerms was on NOVA’s decks over Formula 1 race weekend too, if you caught any of last month’s F1 nights and Halloween at HighHouse and NOVA.

NOVA bills itself as Singapore’s highest rooftop bar, sitting on Level 63 with what it describes as an unobstructed 360-degree view of the city. A Sunday party is an easy sell when the long weekend cushions the next morning, and this one is ticketed, so sort yours out before the day. For the festive side of the weekend, there is also the Deepavali Bazaar at lyf Farrer Park.

Back to Back on Level 63

On Saturday, 21 November, NOVA’s monthly ÆON series returns with what the venue calls its signature blend of immersive electronic music, driving rhythms and underground influences meeting high-energy club sounds. SAMROVE, credited by the release with a mastery of house and techno, plays back to back with ZORÉ, which means the two trade tracks across the night, with ZORÉ bringing progressive melodies and peak-time energy.

Here’s the detail worth noticing: SAMROVE plays three of the four November nights, covering Y2K on 8 November, house and techno here, and the Sam’s Deli supper series he leads on 27 November. Anyone who only knows him from Thursday throwback nights should come to ÆON to hear a completely different side of the same DJ.

Supper, Boba and Jersey Club

Sam’s Deli is HighHouse’s monthly supper series, running under its House of Cocktails concept and led by SAMROVE, pairing late-night bites with club music. On Friday, 27 November from 11pm, it teams up with KAKU, an artist who grew up between Tokyo and San Francisco and is known, per the release, for his part in bringing Jersey Club (the dance style named for its New Jersey roots) to Asia.

KAKU has releases on Barong Family and Insomniac Records, and his sets move through bass music, hip-hop and global beats. Boba tea is on the menu for the night as well, which might be the most Singaporean supper pairing ever put next to a dancefloor.

This is our second pick, and for bass fans it might be the first. The 11pm start is the latest of the month, so it works as a proper end to a Friday rather than the opening act.

A guest with KAKU’s label credits slotting into a monthly supper night gives the 27th a festival-booking feel at a deli-party scale, and that mismatch is half the fun.

Before You Head Up

If none of those dates suit you, NOVA has two weekly regulars. SUPERLOVA runs every Wednesday from 11pm to 3am with DJ Tang on hip-hop and R&B, along with complimentary entry and two drinks for ladies and a bottle of champagne for groups of five ladies. Millennium Mambo runs every Thursday from 10pm to 1am, with SAMROVE on Y2K hits, freeflow drinks for ladies and a 1-for-1 deal for gents.

Both venues are run by OUE Restaurants, and after-hours entry is strictly 18 and above, so carry a photo ID in case staff ask for it. The dress code is smart casual with no flip flops, sandals or sports attire, which rules out the gym-to-club shortcut.

Which Night to Pick

If November only has room for one late night, make it Lonely Hearts Club on 20 November, because nowhere else this month will hand you tissues and a lottery ticket and then invite you to sing about it. To book, email HighHouse at hello@highhouse.sg or call +65 9677 8074, or reach NOVA at hello@novabar.sg or +65 9677 5639. You can follow @HighHousesg and @Novabar.sg on Instagram and Facebook for the latest updates. Pick your night, round up your most dramatic friends and head up to One Raffles Place!
