If you’ve got a friend relocating to Singapore, a cousin here for a month-long work stint, or you’re stuck between leases yourself, APT. at Stamford Place is worth knowing about. It opened on 15 October 2026 with 66 serviced apartments at 61 Stamford Road, inside the old Stamford Court building with the clock tower, and every booking runs a minimum of six nights.
That six-night minimum tells you who this is for. It isn’t a two-night staycation spot but a city base for people who need a kitchenette, a washing machine and a proper desk more than a turndown chocolate.
The Clock Tower’s Second Act
The building carries more history than most people walking past would guess. Stamford Court has stood on the corner of Stamford Road and Hill Street since 1996, but the owners’ August release traces the site back to Eu Court, a 1920s Art Deco apartment building commissioned by philanthropist and entrepreneur Eu Tong Sen. APT.’s own factsheet goes further and calls Eu Court one of Singapore’s first apartment buildings, which makes a serviced-apartment brand moving in feel oddly fitting.

Owners Elevate Capital Group and PGIM say the building went through an 18-month restoration before reopening as Stamford Place, with the clock tower kept as its landmark. Ashish Manchharam, the firm’s founder and managing partner, has a personal stake in the project. “I walked past it every day as a child on my way to school, so returning to shape its next chapter feels like coming full circle,” he said in that release.
According to the same release, the APT. experience is run in partnership with Frasers Hospitality.
Timber, Arches and Local Art
The opening release credits the interiors to Ministry of Design, with Zarch Collaboratives on the wider Stamford Place design team. The brief pairs two ideas: the relaxed domesticity of Singapore’s black-and-white houses, and horology, the craft of measuring time, which nods to the clock tower overhead. It’s the right call, since that tower is the whole reason people recognise the building.

The release describes arches, ovals and radiating geometries meant to recall gears and clock faces, balanced with warm timber and a soft residential palette. On paper, that sounds far cosier than the brown marble façade the factsheet describes.
Art consultancy The Artling curated and commissioned works by Singaporean and Singapore-based artists for the apartments and shared spaces, according to the release. For anyone staying a month, that beats staring at the same generic hotel print every morning!

Which Apartment We’d Book
APT.’s guide lists seven room types and flags every size as indicative. The APT. Studio (24 sqm) packs in a king bed, a work desk, a minibar and under-bed luggage storage, and selected Studios open onto a shared vestibule with filtered water, a sink, a fridge and a microwave. Book neighbouring Studios together and, per the release, that vestibule turns into a private shared space with a door to close.

The APT. Deluxe (29 sqm) and APT. Urban (35 to 38 sqm) add kitchenettes, and the release says both come with Illy coffee machines. That’s a small detail, but it matters when you’re working from the room for a few weeks.
The Stamford Suite and Stamford Premier Suite (35 to 38 sqm) go a step further with separate living and sleeping areas plus an in-room washer and dryer. APT.’s guide says the Premier version faces outward across the street to the Civic District, so it’s the one to pick if daylight matters to you.

Here’s where we’d put our money. The Hill Suite (37 sqm), which the guide describes as the only one of its kind at APT., has a king bedroom, a separate single room and a living space between them. Three people can share without anyone ending up on a sofa, and that makes it the most useful layout in the building for friends splitting costs.
For couples or solo stayers after a treat, the corner Canning Suite (47 sqm) is the pick. The guide lists light from two sides, a deep bathtub, a kitchenette, a washer and dryer, and views over the greenery of Fort Canning Park.
Its twin, the Civic Suite, is the same size but looks over the rooftops and heritage facades of the Civic District, which the guide pitches as the best view in the building. Both are the largest units on offer.
Two friends who each want their own bed and door should look at a pair of linked Studios. You get separate rooms with a shared vestibule for late-night microwave runs, a clever compromise if the Hill Suite is taken. Work Upstairs, Eat Downstairs
The pitch here is that you could go days without leaving. The release says The Great Room by Industrious takes up 30,000 sq ft across Levels Two and Three, with coworking space, private suites and meeting rooms that residents can use. APT.’s guide adds a 24-hour gym on Level 3 with Technogym equipment, open to residents only.

Every apartment pairs a ceiling fan with the air-con and has a filtered drinking-water tap, so you’re not hauling bottled water home from the supermarket. Rooms without their own washer and dryer can use a 24-hour launderette on Levels 3 and 4, which the guide marks as chargeable.
On the ground floor, Blue Label Tavern serves stone-fired pizzas and dry-rubbed rotisserie chicken, while Nanyang Old Coffee pours traditional kopi (Singapore-style coffee), and Cold Storage On The Go covers grab-and-go meals and essentials. The opening release describes Stamford Social, a Europe-inspired all-day café and bistro, as the centrepiece of the line-up.

Our pick is Yoruya, which the release says does ramen by day and yakitori by night. APT.’s guide calls the evening version an izakaya (a Japanese drinking spot with small plates), so dinner’s sorted on the evenings you can’t face going out.
Residence Manager Elaine Luei, who has worked at The Ritz-Carlton Millenia Singapore and The Warehouse Hotel according to her bio, says in the release that the goal is for guests to “feel connected to the city rather than simply stay in it”.
