If your December usually disappears into gift-guide scrolling, Fairmont Singapore has a different idea. Sip & Play at ANTI:DOTE pairs festive cocktails with board and card games throughout the 2026 festive season. It’s the local piece of “Wrapped in the Moment”, a holiday campaign Fairmont Hotels & Resorts announced on 21 October 2026 for its hotels worldwide.
Fairmont is part of the hotel group Accor, and it describes the campaign as a collection of experiences celebrating “presence, connection” and time spent together. It runs on four pillars: Mindful Craft Sessions, Fireside Story Time, Lobby Lounge Moments and Unplugged Wellness. Fairmont says festive programming runs across its 90+ properties in more than 20 countries, with each hotel shaping it around its own city and community.

A lot of the line-up is classic hotel Christmas: trees, Santa and afternoon tea. What makes “Wrapped in the Moment” worth your attention is how much of it asks guests to put the phone down and make something. Several activations also send money to the children’s charity Make-A-Wish.
Sip & Play, Close to Home
ANTI:DOTE is the cocktail bar in the heart of Fairmont Singapore, and for the season it is stocking board and card games for friends, couples and families. You can order a specially curated festive cocktail on its own or as a cocktail-and-play pairing. Fairmont pitches the whole thing as a chance to “sip, play, and spend time together without distraction”, which is a nice answer to the question of where to take the group chat once dinner wraps up.
Hotel guests get a quieter extra called 12 Days of Festive Pause. Across the 12 Days of Christmas, a different wellness message appears each day on the in-room IPTV (internet protocol television, the hotel’s TV system), prompting you to pause, breathe, reflect or reset. There’s something charming about the one screen in this campaign being the one that tells you to slow down.
If you want a fuller December plan around town, our Christmas in Singapore 2026 guide collects the light-ups and events whose dates are already confirmed.
Crafts You Take Home
The most hands-on pillar is the craft sessions. For anyone planning a winter trip, the standout is Festive Wreath Making at Fairmont Cheshire, The Mere in England on 26 November. An experienced florist leads the workshop, mulled wine and traditional mince pies are served on arrival, and everyone leaves with a handmade Christmas wreath.

In Japan, Fairmont Tokyo‘s Christmas Workshop puts guests next to the florists behind the hotel’s own festive displays, and each guest makes a decoration of their own. The wider line-up includes chocolate bark at Fairmont Chateau Whistler, ceramic painting at Fairmont Tremblant, ornament making at Fairmont El San Juan Hotel, and gingerbread houses with the chefs at Fairmont Amman.
The craft with the biggest heart is also the smallest. At select hotels, including Fairmont Austin, guests can buy an official holiday postcard with artwork created by a Make-A-Wish child. Proceeds help grant wishes for children with critical illnesses. Fairmont calls Make-A-Wish a multi-year global partner, and its Make-A-Wish partnership page explains how the relationship works.

Families heading to Canada can book Santa’s Workshop at Fairmont Le Château Montebello on the weekends of 6 and 13 December. Children write a letter to Santa and post it in a special North Pole mailbox, and candle-making and wool workshops round out the château’s programme.
Stories by the Fire
At Fairmont Grand Del Mar in San Diego, Santa Claus is at Grand Social in his chalet, with photo opportunities and story time every day. There is also a special Christmas Eve reading of The Night Before Christmas.
Fairmont Chateau Whistler has two story sessions worth planning around. On 19 December, its Wildlife Education: Bear Talk gathers guests by the fire with a local wildlife expert, who shares personal stories and local knowledge about Whistler’s bears. On 24 December, families can settle in for Bedtime Stories with Mrs. Claus.
At Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa, Story Time with Mrs. Claus and Chardonnay Fairmont takes place in the property’s historic lobby.
Lobbies Built for Lingering
Martinis, Marys & Mistletoe is launching at Café by Emeril in the lobby. Expect a gin martini with a stuffed olive trio and Bloody Marys built on Creole spice, pickled okra and Gulf shrimp. In Toronto, Fairmont Royal York runs its Festive Afternoon Tea at CLOCKWORK, the champagne and cocktail lounge in its grand lobby, from 21 November to 3 January, with live piano.

Fairmont Rio de Janeiro Copacabana has three festive events across 19, 20 and 23 December. A Christmas Afternoon Tea on 19 December includes one signature creation whose proceeds go to Make-A-Wish Brazil. On 20 December, Orquestra do Forte plays Spirit Copa Bar; the group is a social project that creates opportunities for young musicians from Rio’s favelas, the city’s informal communities. A traditional Christmas choir performs on 23 December.
Our favourite small gesture is at Fairmont Bab Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi. From 1 to 31 December, its Lobby Lounge serves Wishworthy Hot Cocoa at AED 55 (UAE dirhams), and every cup supports Make-A-Wish UAE. Over in California, Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa lights its Sycamore tree on 3 December, with Santa, Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area and El Verano School joining in.
Then come the games. Fairmont Grand Del Mar’s Library at the Lobby Lounge stocks chess, backgammon and cribbage. Montebello sets out Scrabble and chess by the fireplace in its log lobby, and Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu and Whistler have board games too. Fairmont Palliser in Calgary goes furthest with its own branded game, Palliser Tock.
Unplugged, Mostly
At Fairmont Mayakoba in Mexico’s Riviera Maya, the Celebration Glow Vinotherapy Ritual starts with a grape seed exfoliation and a wine body mask, then finishes with a massage using warm grapeseed oil. The resort is hosting a New Year Awakening Temazcal ceremony as well.

Fairmont El San Juan Hotel in Puerto Rico offers Sound Therapy: Moonlight Meditation beneath its Banyan Tree, which combines mantra meditation with sound healing. Its Well & Being Spa adds the Fa-La-La-La Facial, a seasonal treatment, and the hotel has Puerto Rican-inspired menus at Caña by José Enrique.
At Whistler, the hotel’s Whistler Experience Guides lead cross-country skiing through snow-covered forest at Whistler Olympic Park, at a pace meant for taking it all in. Fairmont Amman and Fairmont Wuhan round out the list with restorative spa treatments.
Which Ones We’d Book
For Singapore readers, Sip & Play is the obvious first stop: no flight, no packing, and a low-pressure way to get friends off their phones for an evening. If you are travelling, the AED 55 hot cocoa in Abu Dhabi is the simplest way to give, since Fairmont says every cup supports Make-A-Wish UAE. Whistler’s Bear Talk on 19 December is the most memorable, because a fireside chat about local bears with someone who knows them is a story you will retell for years.
