The new McCrispy Fried Chicken lands at McDonald’s Singapore from 5 November 2026, and the Spicy (2pc) Meal starts from S$7.95. I tried it at McDonald’s media preview of Bite Club at its Kallang Stadium outlet, where I ate two pieces of the spicy version and the heat had me sweating.
That sweat is my main recommendation. If you’ve ever wished McDonald’s chicken came on the bone with real heat, this is the one to try.
Inside the Bite Club
Bite Club is McDonald’s name for its McCrispy launch event, and the theme is a playful nod to Fight Club. In that film, the first rule is that you don’t talk about Fight Club. Our hosts flipped it: “The #1 rule of Bite Club is to never stop talking about Bite Club.” Consider this article me following the rules.
There was a thumb war billed as an “initiation” into the club, which media and influencer volunteers took on. I sat that one out.
The Chicken That Made Me Sweat
McDonald’s Singapore calls the McCrispy an “improved recipe that delivers a spicier kick, crispier crunch and a juicier bite.” It comes in Spicy and Signature flavours, and the pieces are thighs and drumsticks. I stuck with Spicy for both of my pieces.
First, the crunch: it’s really good. Then the heat, which reminded me a lot of the McSpicy patty, my favourite burger on the McDonald’s menu, so I was always going to be an easy audience. This isn’t a polite tingle, either. I told the McDonald’s team it was “completely spice-tacular!”, and they were pleased enough to record it as a soundbite. I’d do it again.
If you’re a McSpicy loyalist who has never ordered the fried chicken, this is your sign to cross over. Spice-shy eaters should go for the Signature flavour instead.
The Coleslaw Was the Surprise

McDonald’s says the new Coleslaw joins the line-up “for the very first time,” pitching it as “a cool, creamy counter to all that crunch.”
I didn’t expect a side to steal any of the spotlight, but the coleslaw was surprisingly really good. It kept the McCrispy’s spice from going overboard, which makes it the side I’d add to a Spicy order.

The Crinkle Cut Fries are back in the line-up too, so the full combo carries a hint of nostalgia for anyone who misses them.

How to Get It
McDonald’s plans to roll out the McCrispy range from 5 November at participating restaurants islandwide and Drive-Thrus, as well as on McDelivery, GrabFood and foodpanda. It’s available during non-breakfast hours, so a 9am craving will have to wait, and McDonald’s describes it as a limited-time item.
If you’d rather not wait, there’s an early-access route. McDonald’s is opening Bite Club to the public at McDonald’s Aperia Mall on 30 and 31 October, from 9pm to 11pm. McDonald’s app members can redeem entry for 2,500 MyM points from 28 October, 3pm, while stocks last. According to McDonald’s, guests get free-flow McCrispy Fried Chicken, activities and exclusive merchandise.

Free-flow fried chicken for points is a good deal, so check your balance in the McDonald’s app before the slots go.
Is It Worth It?
Yes, I think it’s worth it. At S$7.95 for the Spicy (2pc) Meal, the McCrispy is a fair weeknight dinner, and the spice level puts it closer to the McSpicy than to a standard fried chicken run. If you’re weighing up this season’s fast-food launches, KFC has its own limited release in the Surf N’ Turf Kentaco.
My pick is the Spicy McCrispy with Coleslaw. The chicken brings the fight and the slaw keeps you standing.
