Pikotaro, a Vocaloid Night and Kodansha Editors: AFA Singapore 2026 Starts at S$19

For three days from 27 to 29 November 2026, Halls 401 to 406 of Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre become Anime Festival Asia Singapore 2026 (AFASG26). Getting in starts at S$19 for a Super Early Bird one-day exhibition pass, before booking fees. Those tickets have been on sale since 19 October, and several premium concert packages have already sold out.

Anime Festival Asia (AFA) is the Japanese pop culture festival that Singapore company SOZO started here in 2008, and organisers count this year’s run as the 18th Singapore edition. It’s held in conjunction with SJ60, which marks 60 years of diplomatic relations between Singapore and Japan. That explains a guest list that reads like someone raided a decade of anime playlists. One thing to know upfront is that YOASOBI appears as an exhibition booth rather than on stage, though most of the other big names are performing live.

Friday Belongs to Yuki Kajiura

Composer Yuki Kajiura wrote the music for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Puella Magi Madoka Magica and the Fate series, so a huge chunk of the anime soundtracks fans keep on repeat carry her name. On 27 November, she opens the weekend with Yuki Kajiura LIVE vol.#22 ~precious pieces~ in Singapore -SPECIAL SETLIST-, which organisers bill as her first concert performance in Singapore. Vocalists KAORI, YURIKO KAIDA, Joelle, LINO LEIA and EMIKO join her.

The setlist has been curated specially for Singapore and the songs haven’t been published, so setlists from her earlier vol.#22 shows in Japan aren’t a reliable preview. Demand is clear already, though: the Friday CAT 1 package that came with Kajiura’s signed badge has sold out.

Earlier that day, the AFA NEXT Stage hosts the Asian premiere of BLESS, an upcoming A-1 Pictures anime about two young people chasing careers in makeup artistry and modelling. Voice actress Konomi Inagaki then introduces Devils’ Crest, an upcoming anime based on the work of Sword Art Online creator Reki Kawahara.

Saturday Is the Big Mixtape

The AFASG26 Music Fest on 28 November, powered by Crunchyroll, suits anyone who likes variety. Global J-pop icon Kyary Pamyu Pamyu shares the bill with anisong (anime theme song) vocalist May’n, rock band Aooo, KAMITSUBAKI STUDIO’s virtual singers KAF and Isekaijoucho, and Liyuu, Naomi Payton and Yuina of Liella!, the school idol group from Love Live! Superstar!!.

That’s a wider genre spread than the 2023 edition’s AFA x SACRA Music Festival with Flow and ASCA. It makes Saturday the safest pick for a friend group that can’t agree on anything!

Saturday’s daytime stages lean towards internet nostalgia. Pikotaro, the viral sensation behind PPAP and an SJ60 Friendship Supporter, returns exactly 10 years after his 2016 AFA Singapore appearance. Eurobeat producer Dave Rodgers, best known for DEJA VU and SPACE BOY (two tracks every Initial D fan can hum), performs the same day.

The anime slots run alongside them. Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End returns with voice actors Tarusuke Shingaki and Shinichiro Miki. KADOKAWA brings Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- ahead of its fourth season, with Satomi Arai, the voice of Beatrice, on stage. Liella! hold a talk session, the Overgeared team offers a production peek, and NIJISANJI EN sub-unit NØVA performs.

Sunday Is the One to Book

If budget allows only one concert, make it 29 November. The night opens with HoneyWorks Vocal All Stars, bringing members of CHiCO with HoneyWorks, HaKoniwalily, TAKANE NO NADESHIKO and Karen na Ivory together with the HoneyWorks live band. Organisers say the collective’s related digital content has passed three billion views.

Then comes AFA VOCALOID NIGHT feat. Hatsune Miku, a tribute to the singing-synthesiser scene that turned Miku into a global star. Note that it’s billed as a producer and DJ night, led by kz (livetune), Hachioji P, TeddyLoid, jon-YAKITORY and picco. For Vocaloid fans, that’s five of the scene’s key names on one bill.

Sunday’s Day Stage carries the weekend’s buzziest anime slot. Animation producer Kan Mizoguchi and voice actor Taihi Kimura (protagonist Chihiro Rokuhira) present KAGURABACHI, which is scheduled to premiere in April 2027.

Black Clover takes the same stage that day, while hip-hop project Paradox Live brings Gakuto Kajiwara and 96NEKO to the NEXT Stage. Kajiwara voices Asta in Black Clover, so his fans can catch him twice.

Meet & Greets Cost Extra

Every Meet & Greet requires a festival ticket and is booked separately. The best deal is Crunchyroll’s free session on 28 November with Overgeared voice actor Tatsumaru Tachibana and director Ayako Kono, which you claim by redeeming a ticket at the Crunchyroll booth. Get there early.

Bring Your Manga Pages

The MOCHIKOMI Manga Review, run with Kodansha Ltd, puts aspiring artists’ work in front of active Kodansha manga editors. For anyone drawing seriously in an HDB bedroom, that kind of professional feedback normally means a flight to Tokyo.

The Creators Hub has more than 100 independent artists and makers. Asia Creators Cross, a partnership with Japan’s niconico Chokaigi, brings illustrators AKIAKANE and U35. Australia-based illustrator Namie, known for Arknights and Fate/Grand Order character art, holds a solo exhibition titled Kaleidoscope – The World of Wanderlust.

The Show Floor Hits

Toei Animation brings a Goku inflatable that organisers say stands 7 metres tall, along with first-drop merchandise from Dragon Ball, One Piece and Digimon. Crunchyroll recreates the Crossroads café from Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc, complete with Pochita appearances. KADOKAWA hosts Azuki-san the viral Siamese cat, with creator Nobeko appearing in person.

Merch hunters get debuts from ALIEN STAGE and Fankoi’s Cosmic Princess Kaguya! line, while the Yu-Gi-Oh! Official Card Game runs a Duel Field Event. Kumamon, Kumamoto Prefecture’s official mascot, wanders the halls too.

The YOASOBI booth previews the duo’s 20 February 2027 concert at the National Stadium, planned as the only Southeast Asian stop of the “SUPER PLANET” tour.

How to Pick a Ticket

Tickets are sold through Ticketmaster Singapore. A concert ticket covers the concert, the exhibition and the Day Stage. An exhibition ticket covers only the hall, and Exhibition + Stage adds the Day Stage. Prices exclude booking fees and climb through four phases: Super Early Bird, Early Bird, General Sales and Show Day.

The limited S$110 3-Day Exhibition + Merchandise Bundle launched with Super Early Bird sales on 19 October. The Limited VIP and Early Bird 3-Day Concert packages are gone. If you’re only doing concerts, Sunday is the pick, since the ticket covers the Miku night and the KAGURABACHI panel.
