Blind boxes have taken over a lot of feeds lately, and now lululemon is joining in. When its ION Orchard flagship reopens on 12 November 2026, the first 100 shoppers in the queue each get a limited-edition blind box. Anyone who spends S$288 in-store from that day can get one too, while stocks last.
lululemon says this is the first time it has offered blind boxes in Singapore. It is a smart move for an athleisure label, because nothing gets a queue forming outside a mall quite like the chance of pulling the “good one” from a sealed box. There are three ways to get a box, and they don’t all involve waking up at dawn.
So What’s Inside?
lululemon’s promotional images show red and silver keychain charms on cord loops with carabiner clips, including a mini kettlebell, a round logo disc and a “lululemon” wordmark tag.

That’s the fun of the format. You won’t know which charm you’re getting until the box is open. The kettlebell is the one to hope for, since it’s the only charm that looks like gym equipment and it would sit well on a belt bag strap.
Three Ways to Get a Box
| Route | When | Where | What it takes | Limit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1. Book a class | 6 to 9 November | Design Orchard | Book a class spot via Eventbrite | One per guest |
| 2. Join the queue | 12 November | ION Orchard | Be among the first 100 in line | First 100 only |
| 3. Spend S$288 | From 12 November | ION Orchard | Minimum in-store spend of S$288 | One per guest per transaction, while stocks last |
Route one: break a sweat first. This is the route we’d take. From 6 to 9 November, lululemon is running a pre-opening activation at Design Orchard, with run, yoga, reformer Pilates and train classes led by lululemon ambassadors and instructors. Every class spot booked through Eventbrite comes with a blind box, limited to one per guest. There’s a daily challenge with a chance to win one too, along with food and drinks from local partners and a photobooth. You get a workout, a box and no queue, which makes it the best deal of the three.
Route two: the queue. Be among the first 100 people in line at ION Orchard on 12 November. If you want a box this way, plan to arrive well before the mall opens.
Route three: spend S$288. From 12 November onwards, an in-store spend of at least S$288 gets you a box, limited to one per guest per transaction, while stocks last. One pair won’t get you there, but a pair plus a top probably will.
A Bigger Store
The reopened flagship covers 5,821 square feet, according to lululemon. It brings in the brand’s newest global store design, which uses textured wood and raked patterns inspired by the Pacific Northwest. There’s a dedicated community space that lists local events, which matters if you’d rather find a run club than browse the racks.

The more lasting addition is personalisation, which lululemon calls a first for Singapore and exclusive to the ION Orchard store. When you buy an Everywhere Belt Bag, you can have it embossed. Selected water bottles can be engraved. It’s the same kind of service the brand introduced at its Harajuku global flagship in Tokyo in August 2026, where shoppers could put initials on belt bags and names on bottles. Since half of Orchard Road seems to own the same belt bag, having your initials on yours is a small but real perk.
lululemon says ION Orchard is where its Asia story began, with its first store in the region opening there in 2014. That makes this reopening a homecoming of sorts, twelve years on.
Why All the Effort?
lululemon’s own quarterly results show sales in the Americas slowing while international markets grow, with revenue for the second quarter of 2026 down 4%. Asia is where it’s betting on growth, and charms that get people queuing on Orchard Road are a low-cost way to make a reopening feel like an event.

One thing to know before you collect: in a parliamentary reply earlier this year, Home Affairs Minister K. Shanmugam said the government would introduce conditions on blind boxes to manage gambling-inducement risks. lululemon’s boxes aren’t sold on their own. They come with a class spot booked, a place in the first 100 in the queue, or a S$288 minimum spend, so they work like a gift-with-purchase with a surprise inside.
