If Marina Bay’s race weekend left you wanting a souvenir subtler than a team cap, mark 10 November 2026. That’s when ic! berlin says its Racing Edition eyewear reaches Singapore stores, including W Optics, Suntec City, at S$650 and S$860.
The two-frame capsule was made with the Audi Revolut F1 Team. It’s the rare piece of F1 merch you could wear to a Monday client meeting without anyone pegging it as fan gear, and that’s most of its appeal.

Two Drivers, Two Frames
The faces of the campaign are Nico Hülkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto, the two race drivers for the Audi Revolut F1 Team, which is the name Audi races under in Formula 1 (F1). This shoot puts them somewhere far moodier, with red light, team kit and customised ic! berlin frames on each driver.

The campaign is titled “From 0.5 mm to 300 km/h”. It’s the brand’s first campaign since it announced the partnership in February 2026, and ic! berlin describes itself as the team’s first official eyewear partner.
The campaign pairs were customised, though, so the retail versions on the shelf won’t necessarily match the photos frame for frame.

0.5 mm Meets 300 km/h
The full tagline is “From 0.5 mm to 300 km/h: engineering performance and precision at speed”, and the idea is simpler than it sounds. The brand says its signature frames use cold-rolled stainless steel at 0.5 mm, held together by a screwless hinge. It compares that featherweight approach to the Audi R26. We covered the R26’s one-off Singapore livery earlier this month if you want the car side of the story.

Photographer Rupert Tapper shot the images, and creative director Leif Podhajsky, a multidisciplinary visual artist, layered in motion blur so the stills read like a car flashing past the pit wall. It works. The drivers look caught mid-lap rather than posed for a catalogue.
Ryan: Built for Singapore Glare
The Ryan costs S$650. It has Pearl-coloured frames, dark grey polarised lenses and red temple tips, the ends of the arms that hook behind your ears. Polarised lenses cut the glare that bounces off water, glass and car bonnets, and in a city where the afternoon sun reflects off every condo window, that is a daily-life upgrade more than a luxury.

The Ryan is our pick of the two. The red tips are the only loud racing reference. The result looks like a smart pair of sunglasses first and team gear second, so it should stay in rotation long after the season wraps!
Gabriel Asks S$210 More
The Gabriel sits at S$860. It swaps the all-metal look for a Sky Grey acetate front (acetate is a dense plastic that gives a thicker, bolder outline), paired with Pearl metal temples and red racing accents. It’s the more fashion-led of the pair and suits anyone whose taste leans chunky rather than wire-thin.
Is the extra S$210 worth it? For context, Ray-Ban’s Scuderia Ferrari range in Singapore has listed a Singapore Special Edition at S$534 and a limited Flax Fiber edition at S$1,292. Both ic! berlin frames land between those two figures. That puts the Racing Edition firmly in premium territory without tipping into collector pricing. Still, the Gabriel only earns its price if you’ll reach for that acetate look week after week.
30 Years of Screwless Hinges
If the brand is new to you, ic! berlin (pronounced “I see!”) was founded in Berlin in 1996 by Ralph Anderl, Philipp Haffmans and Harald Gottschling. The screwless hinge is its calling card, so there’s no tiny screw to work loose and vanish into the bottom of your bag. Its range spans three lines: The Classic, Silk and FLEXARBON®.

The company says each frame goes through 42 production steps and 15 quality-control stages in Berlin. It has partnered with Mercedes-Benz and AMG before, so German car culture is familiar ground. ic! berlin has been part of eyewear group Marcolin since the end of 2023 and the wider VSP group since 2026, and it’s sold in more than 125 countries.
Marina Bay was one of three circuits picked for the partnership’s trackside moments this season, alongside Monza and Austin. Lorenzo Barberio, Managing Director for Asia-Pacific (APAC) at Marchon Eyewear | Marcolin, explained the choice by pointing out that “very few circuits run through the heart of a city the way Marina Bay does.” Anyone who has watched the night race from a Raffles Avenue footbridge would agree.
