Spray-Paint a Banksy, Then Eat It: 7 Paintings Arrives at Conrad Singapore

Up on Level 4 at Lounge by the Pool, a S$190++ dinner at Conrad Singapore Marina Bay now comes with a spray can, so you can finish Banksy’s Girl with Balloon on your plate before you eat it. 7 Paintings – The Art of Dining is a seven-course dinner show that runs Thursday to Sunday. From 1 November 2026, Wednesday sessions join the schedule, which makes a weeknight booking possible too.

If your group’s dinners usually end with everyone scrolling their phones over dessert, this one puts a brush in your hand between courses instead. It gives everyone at the table something to do, and on a slow evening that can matter more than what’s on the menu.

Seven Artists, One Messy Table

The format comes from Dinnertales, an experiential-dining company that calls its style “Dineamation”, meaning food combined with immersive visual storytelling. The show already runs in Berlin, Hamburg, Zurich, London, Toronto, Bangkok, Melbourne and Auckland, among other cities, and the Singapore edition suits a hotel that counts more than 3,400 artworks in its own collection.

Over roughly two and a half hours, each course is dedicated to one artist and one of their defining works: Michelangelo, Banksy, Picasso, Pollock, Warhol, Dalí and Van Gogh. Between bites, guests paint, listen to short stories about the artists or work through a riddle. That makes it closer to a party game with plates than a quiet dinner, and that’s the appeal.

The three courses that get your hands dirtiest sound the most fun. For the Banksy act, Girl with Balloon is stencilled onto the plate and you finish it with spray cans. For Pollock, you get a palette of spinach-coconut, beetroot and pumpkin purées to splatter across your vegetables, which is the closest most of us will get to action painting without ruining a white tee. The Van Gogh finale is a chocolate painting on citrus cake that you complete with chocolate-chilli, white chocolate raspberry and tart strawberry sauces, so the night closes with you painting your own dessert.

The rest of the menu leans playful too. Dalí’s surrealism turns into crema catalana with mint, berries and salted caramel ice cream, while Picasso’s cubism arrives as pan-seared snapper with lemon beurre blanc and potato pavé.

Classic or Premium? Book Classic

There are four menus, and each follows the same seven acts. The Classic Menu (S$190++) is the standard version, with pan-seared snapper and grilled Black Angus beef fillet. The Premium Menu (S$230++) was created by Executive Chef Thomas Jakobi, who leads the Conrad’s kitchens, together with his culinary team, and it is found only at this property.

Compare the two menus line by line and the Premium upgrade comes down to three plates. It opens with brown crab, caviar and organic lemon dashi in place of the tomato praline. Flamed Murray River cod replaces the snapper, and Wagyu beef tenderloin with creamy smoked morels takes over from the Angus fillet. The veal carpaccio, the Pollock vegetable painting, the crema catalana and the chocolate finale stay the same on both menus.

So the extra S$40 buys better protein, not more painting. If you’re coming for the spray cans and the riddles, the Classic gets you every interactive moment for less. Go Premium only if Wagyu and caviar are the reason you’re booking, or if it’s an anniversary and you want the fancier version.

The Vegetarian Menu (S$190++) is a meat-free take on all seven courses, running from beet carpaccio to roasted falafel. The Children’s Menu (S$99+) offers kid-friendly dishes for ages 6 to 12. Free-flow drinks packages are available as add-ons from S$20++.

A quick note on the symbols, especially for readers outside Singapore.

How It Compares to Le Petit Chef

Singapore’s best-known immersive dinner is Le Petit Chef at Restaurant Espoir in Tanjong Pagar, a 3D projection-mapping show starring an animated miniature chef.

The big difference is what you do with your hands: at 7 Paintings you’re painting and solving puzzles rather than watching. If your crowd prefers to sit back and enjoy the show, Le Petit Chef is the easier pick, but if your friends get competitive over board games, 7 Paintings is the better fit.

Because the night is built around participation, it’s a different kind of evening from a chef’s tasting menu at a fine-dining counter. If you want the art and the food to arrive together, ART SG 2027 is also taking the idea in a gallery direction with its offsite show at 72-13, where dinner is the artwork.

Pick Your Session Wisely

Dinner starts at 7pm on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. Saturdays have two seatings, at 5pm and 8.30pm, and Wednesdays join the line-up at 7pm from 1 November. With kids aged six to 12 on the Children’s Menu, the Saturday 5pm slot is the obvious family choice, since everyone can be home before bedtime, while the 8.30pm seating suits a date night that doesn’t need to end early.

For a birthday crowd or a team outing, the new Wednesday sessions are the sleeper pick, because a 2.5-hour game-night dinner breaks up the week better than another round of drinks.

Dinner has quietly become something we film for our feeds, and 7 Paintings at least gives you something better to film than a plate under ring light: your own wobbly Banksy, your table’s Pollock splatter and a Van Gogh you can eat. Grab the friend who still has opinions about art class and book your seats through the official 7 Paintings Singapore page, or check the rest of the hotel’s offerings on the Conrad Singapore Marina Bay website before you go. If a weeknight suits your group better, keep 1 November in mind, when the Wednesday seatings open.
