Free Halloween at Clarke Quay: Haunted Mansion, a Mystery to Solve and a Costume Contest

If your Halloween plans are still a vague “let’s see how”, StarHub WatchParty: Halloween Edition gives you one that costs nothing. On Friday, 30 October and Saturday, 31 October 2026, StarHub is taking over Fountain Square at CQ @ Clarke Quay with a screening of Haunted Mansion, a detective game and a Best Dressed contest, and anyone can come once they’ve registered on the StarHub WatchParty page. The film is only the beginning. The real fun starts after the credits roll.

Watch the Film, Then Find the Clues

StarHub screens Haunted Mansion first. Then the audience takes over, searching for clues and working out a mystery together. That second half is the main attraction. At most outdoor screenings, people start folding up their picnic mats as soon as the film ends, but at this one the credits are your signal to start investigating, which makes it ideal for friends who can’t watch a whodunnit without arguing over who did it.

Themed games and other activities run alongside the main programme, and StarHub is handing out snacks through the evening. Participating F&B (food and beverage) merchants around CQ @ Clarke Quay are offering exclusive dining deals and treats to guests, so dinner is a short walk from the screen instead of a separate trip across town.

Dressing Up Is Worth the Effort

Costumed guests get themed photo spots, a 360-degree video booth, and a Best Dressed contest for anyone who has spent the past week gluing sequins onto a cape. The video booth is the best reason to go all in on your outfit, because a slow spinning clip shows off a costume far better than a dim group selfie under the riverside lights.

Costumes aren’t required for entry, so friends who think dressing up is cringe can still come along. They might change their minds when the 360 booth queue fills up with witches and Wednesday Addams lookalikes.

Which Night Should You Pick?

The two nights run on different schedules. Friday, 30 October runs from 6pm to 11pm, which suits anyone coming straight from the office with a costume stuffed in their bag. Saturday, 31 October runs from 4pm to 11pm, giving you seven hours on Halloween itself.

If you’d rather pay for a proper scare, see our Halloween in Singapore 2026 guide. For a relaxed night with friends, a free movie and a mystery game are hard to beat.

Your Halloween Plan

The WatchParty is the clear pick this month: it’s free, it falls on Halloween weekend, and the mystery game gives a group of friends something to solve together once the film ends. For more ideas for the rest of the month, see our things to do in Singapore this October 2026 guide.
