Who Broke Wonderland? You Have Until 1 November to Crack the Case at Goodman Arts Centre

Something has gone very wrong in Wonderland, and in Crack the Case: Wonderland the detectives are whoever bought a ticket. The 90-minute immersive mystery from Sight Lines Entertainment has been running at the Goodman Arts Centre Blackbox since 9 October, with tickets from S$88. It closes on 1 November 2026, so there isn’t long to round up your group chat and claim the magnifying glass before someone else does.

You’re the Detective Now

Most theatre asks you to sit still, keep quiet and leave your phone in your bag. This one asks you to wander through a Wonderland set, question its larger-than-life residents and piece clues together with the strangers beside you before time runs out. The result sits much closer to an escape room with a cast than to a regular night at the playhouse.

Those residents come with recognisable faces. Noah Yap plays the Mad Hatter, with Masturah Oli as the Queen of Hearts, Tan Rui Shan as the March Hare, Victoria Lam as the Caterpillar and Zulfiqar Izzudin as the Cheshire Cat. Every one of them is someone you’ll be grilling for answers rather than politely clapping for at curtain call.

The show was written and directed by Krish Natarajan, who co-founded Sight Lines with producer and lighting designer Derrick Chew. In a September 2026 preview, Natarajan summed up the headache of writing for a crowd that talks back: “You cannot write what a room is going to do.” That unpredictability is the draw, because a session packed with chatty, nosy players will unfold differently from a quieter one.

There’s a timely reason to go now, too. According to The Straits Times, Wonderland is the fifth and final instalment of the Crack the Case series, which Sight Lines began in 2023. If you’ve been meaning to try one, this is your last chance to say yes!

Which Session Should You Book?

The schedule splits neatly by crowd. The 10.30am and 2pm sessions are family-friendly, open to “children aged six and above”. The 4.45pm and 8pm sessions are listed as “suitable for adults”. Shows run on Fridays at 8pm, Saturdays at 10.30am, 2pm, 4.45pm and 8pm, and Sundays at 10.30am, 2pm and 4.45pm.

For a group of friends, our pick is a Saturday 8pm slot with exactly four people. The Straits Times noted that the show works best as a group outing because different visitors collect different pieces of evidence. Four players lets you split up, compare notes and argue about the culprit, and it unlocks the 10% group discount on Standard tickets. That is a decent saving for picking the right number of friends.

Standard or VIP?

Here’s the catch nobody mentions on the poster. Standard ticket holders spend roughly 90 minutes on their feet, moving around the set without a seat to fall back on. The S$128 VIP Experience fixes that. According to Little Day Out, it comes with a reserved seat at the Hatter’s table plus priority entry, a private pre-show tour, exclusive clues, a separate quest and a private photo with the cast.

Our verdict? The S$40 jump earns its keep if standing for an hour and a half sounds like punishment, or if the bonus quest appeals to the competitive one in your group. Everyone else will be perfectly happy on Standard, since the main mystery is the same case either way.

Singaporeans holding unspent SG Culture Pass credits can put them towards a ticket, since the show is listed as eligible. Offices planning a team outing for 10 or more people should email Sight Lines directly at hello@sightlines.com.sg rather than booking seat by seat.

A Warm-Up for Small Sleuths

Parents get their own option in the Wonderland Children’s Workshop, a one-hour prelude to the main show. Kids play drama games and get their hands messy with arts and crafts while preparing for the Mad Hatter’s birthday party. The idea is to get them into the story before the mystery even starts.

Each workshop seat costs S$48. Sight Lines lists the sessions on 24, 25 and 30 October and 1 November, at 9am to 10am and 12.30pm to 1.30pm. Each slot is timed to finish right before a family-friendly show. The organiser describes the workshop as “suitable for children aged 6 years and above”, adding that “younger children will require an accompanying adult”.

For families, the 12.30pm workshop paired with the 2pm show is the smarter combination. It avoids a 9am weekend start, and the kids walk into the mystery already warmed up. Adding two workshop places for the children brings the total to S$412.80 before booking fees. That isn’t pocket change, but it does buy most of an afternoon.

If your family still talks about the ArtScience Museum’s Wonderland exhibition from 2019, think of this as the version where the characters finally talk back.
