Halloween Horror Nights 14 (HHN14) at Universal Studios Singapore runs from 7.30pm to 12.30am, while the regular last Sentosa Express leaves at 12am. That half-hour gap decides how your night ends, so sort out the ride home before you plan your costume or pick a haunted house.
As of Saturday, 10 October 2026, no transport operator had announced a Halloween extension; on 12 October, Resorts World Sentosa confirmed extended RWS8 bus hours on HHN14 event nights. The RWS8 times below come from Resorts World Sentosa, and every other time comes from the regular published timetables. Operators can still add late services, so re-check on the day.
The Midnight Problem on Sentosa
According to Sentosa’s Getting to Sentosa page, the last Sentosa Express leaves all four island stations at 12am. At HarbourFront, SBS Transit lists the last North East Line (NEL) train towards Punggol Coast at 11.55pm. If you stay for the final scare at 12.30am, the regular Express-to-MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) route home is already gone.
The bus options don’t help much either. Public bus 123 from Sentosa Beach Station Terminal to the mainland makes its last trip at 11.45pm, according to Resorts World Sentosa’s Getting Here page. The free Grab × Sentosa Mainland Shuttle runs Friday to Sunday, 6pm to 9pm only, so it won’t get you home after a scare night. Resorts World Sentosa told us on 12 October that the RWS8 bus from the resort to VivoCity runs extended hours on HHN14 event nights, with the last bus at 1.45am and a bus about every 20 minutes. Sentosa Bus A and B run daily from 7am to 12.10am, but they stay on the island and never cross to the mainland.
Walking Out or Waiting for a Car
The walking route to the mainland goes through VivoCity Lobby F, Level 1. Part of the Sentosa Boardwalk has been closed for waterfront works since 22 May 2025, and Sentosa expects it to reopen in 2030. Pedestrians use a new covered linkway in the meantime. Sentosa doesn’t give overnight access hours or a walking time for the route, so don’t count on a post-midnight stroll across.
On the VivoCity side, the mall has a designated taxi stand and pick-up point on Level 1, outside #01-06. Resorts World Sentosa supports Grab, Gojek, TADA and CDG, and it recommends drop-off points at B1 Casino RWS and the hotel lobbies. Those are drop-off points. For pick-up, Resorts World Sentosa told us on 12 October that taxis and ride-hail collect at WEAVE B1, and that guests leaving after midnight should take the RWS8 bus.
Mainland Last Trains
If you’re heading out from the city instead, these are SBS Transit’s regular last trains:
| Station | Line and direction | Last train |
|---|---|---|
| Clarke Quay | NEL to HarbourFront | 11.55pm |
| Clarke Quay | NEL to Punggol Coast | 12.02am |
| Chinatown | NEL to HarbourFront | 11.56pm |
| Chinatown | NEL to Punggol Coast | 12.01am |
| Outram Park | NEL to HarbourFront | 11.58pm |
| Outram Park | NEL to Punggol Coast | 11.59pm |
| Bayfront | Downtown Line to Expo | 12.05am |
| Bayfront | Downtown Line to Bukit Panjang | 12.18am |
For the Circle, East-West and Thomson-East Coast lines, use SMRT’s own first and last train page. The same applies to Haw Ror Villa 5, which runs 6.30pm to midnight (last entry 10pm) at Haw Par Villa, near Haw Par Villa MRT on the Circle Line.
Our honest advice for anyone who depends on the train: leave HHN14 well before the final hour. How early depends on where you live, so plan it from the timetables rather than a rule of thumb. If you’re set on closing the park, have a way home in place before you arrive.
What Visitors Said Last Year
These are visitor reports from 2025, not operator information. Two visitors recommended a portable fan and light clothes for the heat and humidity. Two reported that ride queues, such as Revenge of the Mummy, grew longer later in the night than the haunted-house queues, so they suggested not saving the rides for last. None of these reports gives a surge time or a late exit option, and we haven’t confirmed either.
Costume Rules, Venue by Venue
Every organiser sets its own rules, and they differ more than you’d expect.
- HHN14: costume masks aren’t allowed, and all costumes are subject to the event’s costume policy. Resorts World Sentosa says the event is “not recommended for children under the age of 13, adult discretion is strongly advised”.
- Changi Experience Studio “Haunts & Handmade” Best-Dressed: family-appropriate costumes only, and no props that look like weapons or pose a security threat.
- HomeTeamNS SpoOktober: everyone aged 4 and above needs a ticket, under-12s must be supervised in the scare zones, and guests under 21 need guardian consent.
- Halloween parties: age limits are 18+ or 21+ depending on the organiser, so check each party’s own rules rather than assuming they match.
Your mask-heavy villain look might get you best-dressed at one event and stopped at the gate of another. Pick the venue first, then the costume.
⏰ HHN14 Hours: 7.30pm to 12.30am, on selected nights (check the organiser’s event page)
📍 Location: Universal Studios Singapore, Resorts World Sentosa
🚝 Last Sentosa Express: 12am from all four stations (regular timetable)
🚇 Last NEL From HarbourFront: 11.55pm towards Punggol Coast (regular timetable)
🎭 Masks: Costume masks are not allowed at HHN14
👶 Age Advice: Not recommended for children under 13
Before you head out, check Sentosa’s Getting to Sentosa page and SBS Transit’s first-train-last-train page on the day you go. Any Halloween extension will appear there first, and a two-minute check can save you a long, expensive wait at the end of the night. For the houses, tickets and family events behind the night, see our Halloween in Singapore 2026 guide. Plan the ride home now, so the only thing chasing you at 12.30am is something in a haunted house!
