Gardens by the Bay in October 2026: F1 Exhibition and Free Padel

Race week has turned one corner of Singapore into a two-sport day out. Free padel courts sit under the Supertrees until 11 October, and The Formula 1® Exhibition Singapore runs a week longer, closing on 18 October 2026. This guide is for F1 fans who want something to do away from the circuit, Singapore residents hunting the cheapest legitimate ticket, and friends or families who’d like a free hour of sport before or after the exhibition.

Track zones, race tickets and the pop-ups around town are covered in our hub, Singapore Grand Prix 2026 Guide: Tickets, Zones, and What to Do. This guide covers what the hub doesn’t: two things at one venue, and the actual maths behind every exhibition deal. If you remember how packed the city got when the 2024 race week rolled around, you’ll appreciate having a plan that keeps you in one place.

Free Padel Under the Supertrees

Padel is the racket sport that sits somewhere between tennis and squash. It’s played as doubles on a smaller court ringed by glass walls, and the ball stays in play off those walls. Rallies tend to run long even between beginners, which is why first-timers usually leave the court grinning instead of chasing balls into the bushes.

Padel at the Gardens is at Gardens by the Bay, with custom-built courts laid out among the tropical planting. The courts carry UBS branding, and the setting is the draw here: you’re rallying with the Supertrees in view, which beats any multi-storey carpark rooftop court in town.

The courts opened with an official ceremony, and Syed Harun Alhabsyi took to the court for a rally. National Padel Player Lim Han Ren was on court too, so the programme has had some serious racket skill on show from the start.

There’s community time built in as well. Singapore’s national padel players led coaching sessions on these courts, which is a rare chance for a beginner to pick up the basics from people who play the sport at the national level.

The catch is the clock. The courts close after Sunday, 11 October, which falls on race weekend, when the Marina Bay area is at its busiest. If you want a game, aim for the next couple of days and pair it with the F1 exhibition at the same venue, so one trip covers both.

Our call: this is for anyone who has watched padel spread across Instagram and wants a free first go before paying for court time elsewhere. Bring a friend, because the game is played in pairs.

The F1 Exhibition and Its Deals

The Formula 1® Exhibition Singapore opened on 23 July and runs until Sunday, 18 October 2026, so it outlasts race weekend by a full week. It’s at Gardens by the Bay, 18 Marina Gardens Drive, Singapore 018953, near Satay by the Bay. Gardens by the Bay lists the hours as 11am to 7pm and notes that timings may change, so check before you set off.

It’s a paid ticket, and the price you end up paying depends heavily on who you are and when you buy.

What the Tickets Cost

The official exhibition page lists starting prices of S$29 for children aged 5 to 12, S$40 for ages 13 to 17 and S$49 for adults aged 18 and above. Children aged 4 and under go in free, and every child aged 5 and up needs their own ticket.

Those are starting prices, not flat rates, so check the price for your date on Ticketek before you commit.

The 20% Resident Rate

Singapore citizens, permanent residents (PRs) and valid pass holders get 20% off all ticket types on Ticketek. At the starting prices, 20% of S$49 is S$9.80, which brings an adult ticket to S$39.20. The teen ticket drops to S$32 (20% of S$40 is S$8) and the child ticket to S$23.20 (20% of S$29 is S$5.80).

For a family of two adults and two children aged 5 to 12, the full price is 2 × S$49 plus 2 × S$29, which comes to S$156. Taking 20% off saves S$31.20, so the family pays S$124.80.

This rate comes with strings attached. Ticketek describes the allocation as limited, first-come-first-served and subject to availability. It also can’t be applied to tickets you’ve already bought, and discounted tickets can’t be refunded or exchanged.

Every Other Offer on the Table

F1 Unlocked subscribers get 30% off tickets bought online for visits from 6 to 18 October 2026. According to the F1 Unlocked 30% off offer terms and conditions on Formula1.com, the discount is worked out on the original ticket price. 30% of S$49 is S$14.70, so an adult pays S$34.30. The teen ticket comes to S$28 and the child ticket to S$20.30, and the family of four from earlier pays S$109.20 instead of S$156.

The offer can’t be combined with other discounts, promotions, vouchers, concessions or special rates, so you can’t stack it on top of the resident 20%.

SAFRA offers 20% off for groups of 10 or more eligible members, from 1 September to 18 October 2026. Each person also gets one F1 Exhibition tote bag and one digital photo-download package, subject to availability. For ten adults at S$49, 20% of S$490 is S$98, so the group pays S$392. That’s the same saving as the resident rate, which means the tote and the photos are what make the difference.

Klook and Pelago also sell tickets, but they’re resale channels, not cheaper deals.

Which Deal Wins

At every ticket type and every price, 30% beats 20%, so an F1 Unlocked subscriber should use that offer. If you’d be signing up only for this exhibition, remember the gap on an adult ticket is S$4.90 (10% of S$49), so the subscription has to cost less than that per ticket to be worth it.

For a group of ten or more SAFRA members, the SAFRA booking matches the resident saving and throws in the extras, so book that way. Everyone else who qualifies as a resident should take the 20% off on Ticketek and book early.

Traps Before You Pay

Ticketek describes discounted tickets as non-refundable and non-exchangeable, so be sure of your date before you pay.

Our call: this is for fans who’d like to get closer to the sport than a grandstand seat allows. Book a weekday session after race weekend if crowds bother you, since the exhibition runs until 18 October.

If You Can Only Do One

Both of these sit at Gardens by the Bay, so a single afternoon covers padel and the exhibition without switching neighbourhoods. If your budget is zero, padel is the free half of the day.

If you can only pick one, go with padel, purely because its window closes first. The exhibition stays open until 18 October, so you’ll still have a quieter week to book it at the resident or F1 Unlocked rate after the cars have left Marina Bay.

Book exhibition tickets through Ticketek’s Formula 1® Exhibition Singapore page, where the resident rate is applied, and check the Gardens by the Bay listing for hours before you head over. Then grab a racket while the Supertree courts are still open, because a free game of padel in that setting won’t come around again this year!
