On Wednesday, 7 October 2026, two Formula 1 (F1) drivers will be standing inside Funan, and getting near them doesn’t need a Grand Prix ticket. Nico Hulkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto of the Audi Revolut F1 Team are making a live appearance at the mall that is open to public viewing, and a raffle on the adidas App decides who gets exclusive up-close access.
Their visit headlines Off the Grid by adidas and Audi, a motorsport takeover that has been running at Funan since Tuesday, 29 September and wraps on Sunday, 11 October. That window sits right over race week for the Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix. If a grandstand seat is out of budget, this is the closest the circuit gets to a mall you probably already lepak (Malay slang for hanging out) in.

Audi’s Debut Season Duo
Hulkenberg and Bortoleto are the two drivers carrying Audi’s first season in F1, which the German carmaker is contesting with its own factory team. Its hybrid power unit is developed in Neuburg an der Donau, while the car itself comes out of Hinwil in Switzerland. That makes the pair the public faces of a project still in its opening year, which is a big part of why Audi wants fans to meet them early.

Their names are about to reach Singapore’s dessert counters, too. Birds of Paradise has a GABICO gelato flavour tied to Audi’s The Art of Influence programme. Tasting a driver’s flavour before shaking his hand is a very Singaporean order of events!
The S$250 Question
Anyone can watch on 7 October. The way up close is adiClub, the adidas membership programme, which costs nothing to join. Members then enter the exclusive adiClub raffle on the adidas App with a minimum spend of S$250, and that spend has to include at least one adidas x Audi Revolut F1 Team item. Terms and conditions (T&Cs) apply, and adidas is posting further details on its @adidasSG channels and inside the app.

The word to weigh there is raffle. Spending S$250 buys a chance at up-close access to the drivers, so the purchase should be gear you’d wear long after race week, with the meet as a bonus if your name comes up.
If a team jersey was already on your wishlist, the maths works out nicely. If you’d be buying S$250 of clothes purely for a ticket in the draw, watching from the crowd and doing the rest of the takeover makes a better Wednesday.
What’s on Without a Raffle
Funan’s main atrium and its Underground Pedestrian Link have been wrapped in Audi Revolut F1 Team branding, with the team’s adidas collection on display beside the all-new Audi RS5. Everything runs 10am to 10pm daily, which makes it an easy lunch-break detour for anyone working around City Hall.

The spot built for your camera roll is the Grid Shot Pit Stop, a pit wall photo set patterned on Singapore’s vintage tiles, old architectural details and heritage motifs, with photo opportunities open from 30 September to 11 October. It doubles as one stop on a trail: register for a Team Pass at the registration counter, work through a series of motorsport-inspired challenges, then finish at the Reward Lockers to redeem exclusive prizes.
Of everything on the list, the Team Pass trail deserves a spot in your plans. It starts at a counter rather than a checkout, and it ends with a prize in your hands, which beats most mall outings on both counts.

Mind the Car Gap
Here’s a scheduling quirk worth knowing before you go. The Audi R26 Showcar Display sits at Funan from 29 September to 2 October, leaves, then returns from 8 to 11 October, so the race car won’t be there on the day the drivers are.
The second stint is the one to catch. From 8 October, the R26 wears a bespoke livery built from motifs in the Threads of the City prints, so a photo taken this week shows a different car from one taken next week.
Threads of the City, Up Close
That new livery borrows from Threads of the City, the first fanwear collection from the adidas and Audi Revolut F1 Team partnership, launched in Singapore on 2 September 2026. It reworks the vintage tile patterns found on the island’s heritage buildings into streetwear graphics, and its campaign was shot on location here.

It sits inside a bigger range. On 3 March 2026, adidas and the team unveiled their first joint teamwear and fanwear line: roughly 160 pieces in grey and titanium tones with small red accents, running from a collarless driver jersey to a bespoke ADIZERO EVO SL 2 sneaker with a Lightstrike Pro midsole.
The tile-print pieces are the ones to prioritise. A driver jersey looks the same in every city on the calendar, whereas patterns lifted from Singapore’s shophouse floors only make full sense here, which gives them a longer shelf life than one race weekend.

You’ll find the collection on the adidas motorsport page and at selected adidas stores islandwide.
A Cheaper Keepsake at JD Sports
For a guaranteed souvenir, JD Sports @ Funan (#01-07/08) is giving out an exclusive Fidget Clicker with a minimum spend of S$150 on the adidas Motorsports collection. That spend must include at least one adidas x Audi Revolut F1 Team item, T&Cs apply, and the offer runs from 30 September to 11 October, 10am to 10pm daily.

At S$100 below the raffle bar, it’s the pick for fans who’d rather walk out with something certain than wait on a draw. A clicker on your keychain also outlasts a crowded photo on your phone.
Why Brands Are Moving Into Malls
Audi has been open about the plan. The carmaker says its F1 entry is meant to “win new fans for the brand, and build a global community that extends beyond motorsport”, and chief commercial officer Stefano Battiston has said the team wants to “bring Formula 1 to the people” through retail and sponsor projects rather than trackside logos alone.
Singapore’s malls have become the pit stop for that thinking. On 2 October 2025, adidas brought Mercedes-AMG Petronas driver Kimi Antonelli to its Brand Centre Orchard, while Lando Norris opened a Ralph Lauren Fragrances racing pop-up at VivoCity the same day. For fans, the upshot is a race week that spills into places with air-con and a food court, and our Singapore Grand Prix 2026 guide plus our roundup of where to eat, drink and shop off the track cover the rest of it.
