YouTrip’s Mega Travel Day starts this Thursday, 1 October 2026. On that day, YouTrip cardholders in Singapore can earn cashback of up to 25% on travel bookings made through seven platforms. To get it, you open the Perks tab in the YouTrip app, choose a platform and pay with your YouTrip card. On a S$1,000 Klook hotel stay, that works out to S$250 back. The offer returns on 1 November and 1 December, so it is worth knowing about if you are booking a year-end trip or a Lunar New Year escape.
The 25% figure applies to Klook hotels. Flights are the weakest category in the campaign, so the best deal depends on what you are booking and how much you plan to spend.
A Payday Sale for Travel
The idea for this campaign comes from the 9.9 and 11.11 sale days, which trained shoppers to wait for a fixed date. Mega Travel Day applies that habit to travel, and the booking window is the 1st of the month.
YouTrip’s Chief Operating Officer, Kelvin Lam, says the campaign offers the company’s “highest-ever cashback”. He describes YouTrip as “the No. 1 travel card in Singapore”, which is the company’s own description of itself. He also said: “As Singaporeans increasingly put travel first, we want to help them make each trip go further.” The practical benefit for readers is that a fixed monthly date lets you plan big bookings around it.
Flights Get the Smallest Slice
Only two platforms offer anything on flights. Trip.com gives 5% uncapped cashback on flights, and Traveloka gives 5% on international flights. On an S$800 return ticket from Singapore to Tokyo, that is about S$40 back. That is a small saving, and it is unlikely to change which flight you choose.

YouTrip’s own earlier campaign offered more. During its Travel Wednesdays campaign, which ran from 4 March to 24 June 2026, Trip.com flights earned 8% to 10% uncapped cashback. That campaign also offered flight vouchers of S$30 off S$650 or S$60 off S$1,200. If you booked a flight in April, you probably did better than you will on 1 October.
Trip.com makes up some of the difference with stackable vouchers of up to S$120 off. They sit on top of 20% cashback on hotels and 15% on car rentals. If you are booking a hotel and a car for the same trip, Trip.com is the strongest overall platform in the campaign.
Where the Real Money Is
Hotels are where the savings are meaningful. On a S$1,000 hotel stay, the offers compare like this:

- Klook, 25% cashback: S$250 back
- Trip.com, 20% cashback: S$200 back, before vouchers
- Traveloka, up to 12% cashback: up to S$120 back
- Booking.com, 10% off: S$100 off
- Agoda, 11% off, capped at US$50: about S$63 off
- Expedia, 18% off, capped at S$60: S$60 off
Klook offers the highest rate. It also pays 15% on tours and experiences, and has vouchers of up to S$20 off. Longer trips, like the multi-city route in our Turkey travel guide, involve several nights of hotels, so check Klook’s price for those stays first.
The rate only helps if Klook lists your hotel at a competitive price. Twenty-five percent back on an inflated rate can cost more than 10% off a cheaper one. Compare the final price on two platforms before deciding.
Caps Change the Maths
Two offers look good on the graphics but lose value on larger bookings.

Agoda takes 11% off hotels, capped at US$50 (about S$63). You reach the cap at roughly S$573 of spending. Beyond that, the effective discount falls, so a S$1,000 stay gets only about 6.3% off.
Expedia takes 18% off hotels, capped at S$60, and hits that cap at around S$333. The campaign graphic shows the promo code YOUTRIP18. It works well for a short weekend stay but gives much less value on a longer trip.

Booking.com offers a smaller 10%, but with no cap. Its uncapped 10% only beats Agoda’s capped discount above roughly S$630, and beats Expedia’s S$60 cap above S$600. Traveloka offers up to 12% on hotels. Because the rate is “up to” 12%, some hotels may earn less, so check the rate on the property you want.
KKday has the smallest offer: up to 6% cashback on its Signature Tours and selected experiences. If a KKday tour is already on your list, the 6% is a small bonus. It is not worth moving a booking over for it.
Traps to Avoid
The date is strict. The offers apply on the 1st of each month only. If you miss 1 October, the next chance is 1 November, which falls on a Sunday. Do your research beforehand so you only need to pay on the day.

Start in the right place. To qualify, open the Perks tab in the YouTrip app, choose the platform, and pay with your YouTrip card. If you book from a browser tab you already had open, or through another cashback portal’s link, the booking may not track and you may not receive anything.
Cashback and discounts work differently. Klook, Trip.com, Traveloka and KKday pay cashback after the booking. Agoda, Booking.com and Expedia take money off the price when you pay. Cashback arrives in your YouTrip wallet later, not at checkout, and the release doesn’t say when. Check the payout date in the terms, and don’t count on it for your trip budget.
The percentage may not apply to the whole bill. A travel-deals review of YouTrip’s earlier Travel Wednesdays campaign found cashback was generally worked out on the pre-tax amount. On a hotel booking that adds taxes and fees at checkout, 25% back can be noticeably less than a quarter of what you pay.
Vouchers and cashback may not add up. The release doesn’t say whether Trip.com’s 20% is worked out before or after its vouchers come off. Do your sums on the lower figure: 20% of the price after the voucher.
Read the terms before you pay. Before you book something non-refundable, read the campaign terms, particularly the rules on cancellations and changes.
Which Deals to Book
For a hotel-heavy trip, compare Klook and Trip.com. Klook has the higher rate, and Trip.com adds vouchers. Expedia’s 18% only comes out ahead if Klook and Trip.com don’t list your hotel, or list it for more. Its advantage is timing: the saving comes off the bill when you pay, while theirs arrives later as cashback. If you mainly need a flight, the 5% offers won’t reduce the price much.
