Spicy Gold or Moody Blue? Lenovo’s IdeaPad Vibe Comes in 7 Pantone Shades

Picking a laptop has long meant choosing between silver, a slightly darker silver, and a black one that shows every fingerprint. Lenovo’s new IdeaPad Vibe Series offers seven colours instead. If you’re shopping in Singapore, though, you’ll have to wait to see which colours come here and what they cost. Lenovo hasn’t announced Singapore prices yet, and it says colour options may vary by market. For now, Europe is the closest guide: the Vibe arrives there from October 2026 at an estimated starting price of €799.

The Vibe was unveiled on 3 September 2026 at Lenovo Innovation World, held during IFA, Berlin’s huge yearly consumer tech show. It didn’t arrive alone. Lenovo also brought out creator-focused Yoga laptops running on NVIDIA RTX Spark, two pen-first Yoga tablets, and a colourful IdeaCentre all-in-one desktop, with Lenovo Qira, its personal artificial intelligence (AI) assistant, running across them. That’s a lot of hardware for one keynote, so it helps to sort out which pieces deserve a spot on your wishlist.

Seven Moods, One Laptop

Lenovo worked with the Pantone Color Institute, the people behind the yearly Pantone Color of the Year, to put the palette together. The names sound like a group chat’s mood check: Dreamy Violet, Spicy Gold, Zen Green, Chill Blue, Radiant Coral, Moody Blue, and Lowkey Grey. Lenovo says the shades take inspiration from “colors people encounter every day,” and each one comes with its own personality, from Zen Green’s slower-paced calm to the optimistic orange lift of Radiant Coral. Just keep in mind that colour options may vary by market, so your favourite might not be sold here.

“Color is the most personal design decision people make when choosing a device,” said Brian Leonard, VP of Design Innovation for Lenovo’s Intelligent Devices Group. That line will ring true for anyone whose desk setup doubles as their Instagram grid. Lenovo takes the idea further with optional swappable keycaps, sold separately, so you can add a second accent colour to the keyboard.

Before you fall for a shade, there’s a catch. The screens depend on the colour:

If you edit photos or grade video, Moody Blue is the one to get, since it’s the more expressive of the two OLED colours and doesn’t look like an office laptop. If you mostly type, stream and scroll, go ahead and pick Radiant Coral with a clear conscience!

What’s Under the Colour

Behind the paint, the Vibe comes in 14-inch and 15-inch sizes. Its metal chassis starts at 1.3kg, light enough to live in a tote bag all semester. You can choose between Qualcomm Snapdragon X chips or chips up to the AMD Ryzen AI 400 Series. Both run Windows 11 Home, and Intel versions will follow later.

Copilot+ PC is Microsoft’s label for laptops that handle AI tasks on the device, and you only get it on selected models with 16GB of memory. Those extras include real-time translation, video call effects, and privacy tools. So if the AI features are part of why you want this laptop, skip the entry-level configuration.

Here’s how the two chip options compare:

Every model gets dual solid-state drive (SSD) slots for up to 1TB, 5MP cameras with privacy shutters, and Dolby Audio speakers.

The spec sheet has weak spots. The Vibe has an HDMI 1.4 port and 5Gbps USB-C ports, so it’s a poor match for a high-refresh 4K monitor. That’s a fair trade-off at this price, but it matters if you’re planning a two-screen desk.

Qira Keeps Your Data Close

Select configurations come with Lenovo Qira, the company’s personal AI, which works across supported PCs, tablets, phones and wearables. Lenovo calls it local-first. Where the hardware supports it, Qira does its processing on the device, and the personal knowledge base it builds is encrypted and stored on your own machine. It’s now coming to eligible Lenovo PCs with 16GB of memory, not only pricier high-memory builds.

For convenience, Lenovo teamed up with the automation platform Workato to connect Qira to Gmail, Google Calendar, Slack, Outlook, and other services. That lets a plain-English request pull up a meeting invite without juggling five tabs. Those connections do go online, and Lenovo notes that some AI features need an internet connection or a Microsoft account. Local-first describes where your personal knowledge base lives, while the connected tricks still travel over the web.

When You Need More Power

The Vibe is the everyday option, and the Yoga range is where Lenovo points serious creators. Lenovo will announce pricing for both of these RTX Spark laptops later.

• Yoga Pro 9n (15″, 11): the flagship. It runs on NVIDIA RTX Spark with up to 128GB of unified memory, shared between the processor and graphics so that big AI models can run on the laptop itself. It also has a 15.3-inch 2.5K OLED screen that runs at 48Hz to 165Hz, a 92.5Wh battery, and a 1.65kg aluminium body.
• Yoga 9n 2-in-1 (16″, 11): the one illustrators will find more interesting. It folds back 360 degrees, and you can draw with the Yoga Pen Gen 2 on either the 16-inch OLED screen or the haptic Force Pad, with up to 64GB of memory behind it. Analyst firm Techsponential described it as possibly the only convertible RTX Spark laptop on the market.

There’s some irony in the colours, though. The Yoga Pro 9n is listed in Thunder Grey and the 2-in-1 in Cosmic Blue, so the rainbow stays with the cheaper Vibe. Still, both machines are a big step up from the Yoga S730, which DANAMIC’s 2019 review summed up as “thin in hand, thin in features.”

Tablets and a Colourful Desktop

• Yoga Tab Plus Gen 2: 13-inch 4K screen at up to 144Hz, Snapdragon 8 Elite chip.
• Yoga Tab Gen 2: the lighter one, with an 11.1-inch 4K screen, a weight of about 480g, and a MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chip.

Both launch with Android 17, with seven operating system upgrades promised through Android 24 and security updates until 2033. A tablet bought for your first year of uni could well outlast your degree!

The IdeaCentre AIO i comes in multiple colours for the first time: Dreamy Violet, Radiant Coral, Zen Green, Chill Blue, Luna Grey, and Cloud Grey. It comes in 23.8-inch and 27-inch sizes with Intel Core Series 3 chips and a stand that tilts and adjusts in height. Its Adaptive Lighting effects will arrive in a future software update. It’s a tidy fit for a shared family desk in an HDB living room.

Price and Timing

Singapore: Lenovo hasn’t announced Singapore prices yet, and it says colour options may vary by market. Until it does, these are the prices announced so far:

The Vibe is a long way from the plain, budget-first IdeaPad 1. It’s a mid-range AI laptop that lets you choose a mood first and specs second, and at €799 in Europe it’s priced for students rather than studios.
