The Tokyo Manji Gang is taking its turf war to South Town. SNK has confirmed that Manjiro “Mikey” Sano and Ken “Draken” Ryuguji from Tokyo Revengers will join Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves on 22 October 2026. Each one is a fully independent playable fighter.
The release plan is the best part. This is the first time the game will release two DLC (downloadable content) characters at once. Every fighter in its first two seasons arrived alone. Mikey and Draken’s whole story runs on loyalty, so putting them out in different months would have felt wrong. Credit to SNK for reading the room.
Who Are Mikey and Draken?
If the names don’t ring a bell, Tokyo Revengers is Ken Wakui’s hit manga. It started running in Weekly Shonen Magazine in 2017 and now has more than 80 million copies in circulation worldwide. It has also spread into an anime, live-action films, and stage productions. The story follows Takemichi Hanagaki, a young man at rock bottom who suddenly gains the power to leap back in time. Trying to save the people he loves pulls him into the Tokyo Manji Gang, which fans call Toman.
Mikey leads Toman and is known across the delinquent world as “Invincible Mikey”. Draken is his vice leader and right-hand man, the steady one who keeps him grounded. Their friendship is the emotional core of the series, so they’re the obvious pair to bring over.
In SNK’s crossover story, the power of the Sacred Scrolls pulls Mikey out of a gang fight and drops him in South Town, the fictional city where Fatal Fury is set. He wants two things: the legacy of Geese Howard, the crime boss who hangs over the whole series, and a way home. Draken is searching for his missing friend when a mysterious incident drags him to South Town too. Both end up in the King of Fighters (KOF) tournament, which is a very Toman way to solve a problem.
If you’re new to Fatal Fury, City of the Wolves launched on 24 April 2025. It was the series’ first new mainline game since Garou: Mark of the Wolves in 1999. In Fatal Fury: The Ultimate History, chief producer Yasuyuki Oda recalls pitching it as “Fatal Fury 4” soon after he rejoined SNK in February 2014. That’s 11 years from pitch to launch.
The Voices Fans Already Know
The Japanese voice track brings back the anime’s original cast: Yu Hayashi as Mikey and Katsuya Fukunishi as Draken. In English, Aleks Le voices Mikey and Sean Chiplock voices Draken. SNK released an English-voiced teaser and a Japanese-voiced one on 10 September, so you can choose your version before launch day.
SNK says both fighters get moves, animations, and special intros that stay true to the characters, and they’re built to fit the game’s REV System. The announcement also gives the pair a pre-fight exchange: “Anyone here scared to throw down in South Town?” followed by “No? I didn’t think so. Let’s crush ’em all!” Long-time fans will hear a nod to one of Mikey’s most memed rallying cries.
South Town’s Guest List Keeps Growing
Mikey and Draken aren’t the first outsiders in South Town. Earlier guests include Ken and Chun-Li from Street Fighter 6, footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, DJ Salvatore Ganacci, and Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star. Once Draken arrives, the roster will have three fighters with “Ken” in their name.
Guest picks always get people talking. IGN rounded up social media reactions to the reveal. One fan said “Kenshiro was dope” but couldn’t make sense of this pick. Another called it the “funniest fighting game roster of all time”. Others asked why fighting-anime heroes like Baki or Kengan Ashura‘s Tokita Ohma didn’t get in first.
The game has plenty of goodwill to spend on picks like these. It scores 80 on Metacritic for PC and PlayStation 5 and 79 on Xbox Series X|S. About 2,950 people have reviewed it on Steam, and 79% of them recommend it. The timing helps as well. Tokyo Revengers: War of the Three Titans, the anime’s newest arc, premieres on 2 October 2026. New episodes stream only on Disney+ worldwide, every Friday at 2am Japan time (1am in Singapore). That gives lapsed fans almost three weeks to get hooked again before the crossover lands.
What Season 3 Costs You
Mikey and Draken are part of Season Pass 3, which costs US$19.99. The pass includes seven fighters: Rick Strowd, Duck King, Kim Kaphwan, Mikey, Draken, Laocorn, and a mystery fighter due in December. That’s under US$3 a fighter, and Season 3 brings new stages as well.
Don’t own the game yet? The Revenge Edition costs US$49.99 and includes the base game plus all three season passes. The Legend Edition (US$39.99) only goes up to Season Pass 2, so it doesn’t include the Toman pair. The Standard Edition is US$19.99 for the base game alone. SNK says prices can differ between stores, so check the PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, or Epic listing for the Singapore dollar price.
The best value is the new Nintendo Switch 2 version, which goes on sale digitally on the same day as the crossover. Its Starter Edition costs US$29.99 and includes the base game plus Season Passes 1 to 3, with Mikey and Draken inside. That’s US$20 less than the Revenge Edition on other platforms, which is pretty shiok (Singlish for deeply satisfying). If you pre-order on Switch 2, you also get a classic costume for series favourite Mai Shiranui. A physical Starter Edition comes out on 21 January 2027.
On every platform, online matches use rollback netcode (which keeps matches smooth despite lag) and crossplay. PlayStation 4 owners can also upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version for free.
