Modern Chinese restaurant Mott 32 unveils a luxurious nine-course Mid-Autumn set menu (S$168++ per pax), featuring an array of Chinese delicacies such as fresh lobsters, abalones, scallops and giant garoupa. A true culinary indulgence, the menu features signature recipes and traditional cuisine. From crisp scallop taro croquette to the familiar braised pork belly, this set menu is sure to take your taste buds for a ride.

If you’re looking for a more contemporary-style set menu, then you might want to consider RISE instead. It is a more subdued four-course meal set(S$52++ per pax; minimum two pax), but the quality remains high. With menu items such as pomelo green mango smoked duck salad and the main course of deep-fried seabass with yuzu soya and sakura ebi sauce, this set meal is a much more refreshing option for those who prefer something lighter.

I’m sure we all know of, or at least heard of Black Tap, with their Instagrammable milkshakes and indulgent menu. This month, the restaurant will be celebrating its third anniversary with the Power Hour special. With this promotion, you can pick a trio of Black Tap’s all-time favourites

from a selection of over 15 snacks and sides for S$30++. This promotion should make their incredible menu accessible, especially for my fellow (legal) students out there who just want to treat themselves after a long semester.

In tandem with the Autumn season, KOMA Japanese Restaurant & Sushi Bar has come up with a delectable dessert, made of Japanese bread pudding, house-made chestnut gelato, and roasted vanilla bread. This dessert, KOMA’S Autumn Festival, will be available for both lunch and dinner, so if you’re craving something to satisfy your dessert cravings after your meal, this will be a perfect choice!

Celebrate National Lobster Day with LAVO’s 1.2kg lobster!

Have you ever heard of National Lobster Day? If you haven’t, then celebrate your first one at LAVO Italian Restaurant & Rooftop Bar. LAVO will be offering a special lunch and dinner menu featuring, of course, the lobster. Featuring fresh Maine lobster roll (S$58++), served in a soft brioche bun with avocado and butter sauce for lunch, as well as a decadent whole 1.2kg lobster (S$198++) served with corn agnolotti and shaved black truffle for dinner, these are not for the light-hearted. Though catered towards those willing to splurge, if you’re a lobster lover looking for a good quality meal, then look no further than LAVO.

Spago by Wolfgang Puck comes up with a new, imaginative dinner menu this September. A more experimental course featuring innovative dishes such as Japanese amela tomato soup (for Summer) and apple salad with Maine lobster and shiro miso (for Autumn), the different flavours are at once delicate and alluring. If you’re up for a unique dining experience, then this dinner menu is sure to live up to expectations!

Celebrate Great American Month with Yardbird

Yardbird celebrated Great American Burger Month with weekly specials and beer deals!

Yardbird Southern Table & Bar at Marina Bay Sands returns with its Great American Burger Month series to present four weekly specials (S$29++ each), available on weekdays for lunch and all-week for dinner. Here are the specials, as well as the corresponding week it’ll be available for: 

On 1 September lasting till 7 September: Classy steakhouse burger, featuring juicy double patty stacked with pepper jack cheese, streaky bacon and crispy onion strings. A classic for a reason; you can’t go wrong with this one!

8 to 14 September will see the Triple smash burger become available, an unrivalled triple beef patty with aged cheddar and caramelised onions, topped with a delicious fried egg. Perfect for meat lovers looking for a tasty meal.

From 15 to 21 September: The ultimate burger indulgence in the form of a mac and cheeseburger, featuring short rib, brisket and chuck blend beef patty, aged cheddar, streaky bacon, hot sauce, Mornay sauce and the star of the show – fried mac ‘n’ cheese. You’re sure to leave with a satisfied stomach after this one! 

And lastly, 22 to 30 September is the finale of the Great American Burger series, Yardbird’s variation of the Red, White & Blue burger, a classic pairing of double beef patty and gorgonzola, with special add-ons of foie gras, mushrooms, caramelised onions, streaky bacon and aioli.
