Everyday, we inch ever so slightly closer to experiencing the newest entry to the Halo franchise, Halo: Infinite, which is expected to release during the holiday season this year. But those who are impatient for its launch might be satiated by the latest release for Halo 2: Anniversary for PC which is out today (14 May) with Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection originally came out for Xbox One back in 2014, but recently became available for PC in December 2019, packaging first with Halo: Reach first before chronologically releasing the rest of the collection over the course of 2020.
Now Halo 2: Anniversary joins the party after Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary’s March release. Along with improved visuals for the memorable campaign, the legendary multiplayer also sees its seven multiplayer maps from Halo 2: Anniversary and 25 multiplayer maps from the original Halo 2 fully remastered for the current generation. Those nostalgic for the original experience can also toggle between the remastered graphics in the Anniversary edition and the graphics from the original Halo 2 campaign.
Halo 2: Anniversary on PC comes equipped with new features, optimizations, and customizations built for the platform, featuring lighting fast 60 fps gameplay along with 4K UHD support. Players can also fine-tune their experience with a vast array of options, including customizable mouse and keyboard support, ultrawide support, FOV customization and more.
Players can experience Halo 2: Anniversary as part of the Halo: The Master Chief Collection for S$49.99 on Steam and the Microsoft store. They can also purchase the game individually for S$15 if they wish to get the game on its own. Those with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or Xbox Game Pass for PC (Beta) subscriptions will also have the game available to them.
