Tea by the Scoop: CHAGEE Turns Nine with Geelato

CHAGEE is celebrating its ninth anniversary in Singapore with Geelato, a handcrafted tea gelato. It’s sold in-store only at orchardgateway, Pagoda House and One Raffles Place. According to the brand, Singapore is the first market outside China to get it, so your usual jasmine milk tea order now has a frozen cousin you can try this weekend.

The gelato is the headline, but the birthday line-up runs all month. The BO·YA Mango Jasmine Green series lands from today, 6 November 2026, alongside nine new bakes and a Singapore-exclusive, Merlion-inspired version of the brand’s mascot, Teadore. Then the Tear & Win cup giveaway runs nationwide from 15 to 17 November, which makes mid-month the time to plan your tea runs around.

CHAGEE re-opened its first Singapore store in August 2024 and now has 46 outlets here, with Singapore serving as its Asia-Pacific headquarters. “Offering Geelato here first is our way of saying a big thank you to our Singapore customers,” said Lawrence Wen, CEO of CHAGEE Singapore. That’s a thank-you you can eat, which beats a card.

Your Usual Order, Now Scoopable

There are seven flavours on the Geelato menu: BO·YA Jasmine, Signature Matcha, Bergamot Pink Guava, Pistachio, Yunnan Pu-er Caramel, Caramel Butter Pecan and Yuzu Jasmine.

Tea-flavoured gelato isn’t brand new to Singapore. When Gelato Messina opened here in 2025, its Teh Tarik milk tea scoop was one of the local-inspired highlights. What’s different here is that CHAGEE is spinning its own signature teas into the base, so the flavours line up with drinks you may already order every week.

If you only get one scoop, make it BO·YA Jasmine. The brand describes it as its signature BO·YA Jasmine tea blended with premium milk for bright floral notes. It’s the closest thing to your regular cup in gelato form, which makes it the fairest test of whether the idea works.

Feeling braver? Yunnan Pu-er Caramel is the most tea-nerd option on the board, pairing ripe Pu’er from Bingdao and Menghai in Yunnan with seasonal macadamia nuts. Fermented tea in a dessert sounds odd on paper, but it’s the flavour you won’t find at your neighbourhood gelato bar.

For anyone who’d rather go fruity, Bergamot Pink Guava mixes red-fleshed guava with bergamot for a sweet, tangy and floral combination, according to CHAGEE. It’s the refreshing pick for a humid afternoon in town.

The topping list runs to seven options: Pistachio, Pecans, Dried Fig Slices, Dried Cranberries, Crushed Biscoff, Dark Chocolate Curls and White Chocolate Curls. Crushed Biscoff on Caramel Butter Pecan is the obvious sweet-tooth move.

Three Stores, In-Store Only

Here’s the catch. Geelato is available at only three CHAGEE outlets, and the brand lists it as in-store purchase only, so you’ll need to turn up in person.

The three stores give you an Orchard option (orchardgateway), a CBD option (One Raffles Place) and Pagoda House, which CHAGEE calls its first-ever dedicated retail concept. Office workers at Raffles Place get the easiest lunchtime detour of the lot.

Mango Meets Jasmine

The BO·YA Mango Jasmine Green series is out from today as a Milk Tea and a Brewed Tea, served hot or cold.

The brand says it blends four jasmine teas from Yunnan, then infuses the leaves with fresh puree from Small Tainong Mango grown in Hainan. The leaves are dried at low temperature to lock in both aromas, and freeze-dried mango pieces go in on top. That’s a lot of effort for a mango tea, and it explains why this is the drink the whole campaign is built around.

For anyone watching their sugar, CHAGEE says most of its teas in Singapore are rated Nutri-Grade A or B, the two healthiest bands on Singapore’s drink labels. Oat and non-fat milk are available too.

Nine Bakes for Your Tea Break

The new bakes are sold at 37 CHAGEE stores. CHAGEE says Singapore is the first market to offer the range islandwide. The exceptions are Resorts World Sentosa (WEAVE), Rivervale Mall, Junction 8, Wisteria Mall, Changi Airport Terminal 2, JEM, Bedok Mall, 18 Cross Street and Tampines 1, so check before you make a trip.

The Da Hong Pao Mochi Bun is the pick for anyone who already orders Da Hong Pao milk tea, since it carries the same roasted tea aroma around a stretchy mochi centre. The Peach Oolong Choux Puff is filled with peach oolong cream, so it’ll pair neatly with a Peach Oolong drink.

Bundles, Freebies and a Towel

The anniversary merchandise comes in two waves, and every item needs a large Fresh Milk Tea. From 6 to 14 November, buying a Large BO·YA Mango Jasmine Green Milk Tea plus any other Large Fresh Milk Tea gets you a free Sticky Screen Cleaner Pack.

From 20 November, the same two-drink combination gets you a free Fridge Magnet Blind Box, and the Teadore Wrist Cushion joins as a bundle. Eligible large drinks are BO·YA Jasmine Green, Peach Oolong, Da Hong Pao, Osmanthus Oolong, Hojicha Genmai and BO·YA Mango Jasmine Green Milk Tea.

Teadore Goes Merlion

Teadore is CHAGEE’s green elephant mascot, inspired by the Ancient Tea Horse Road, where elephants once helped carry tea across mountains and borders. In Singapore, he takes on a soft blue Merlion-inspired look with a lion head, a curled white tail and a CHAGEE cup in hand. It’s a Singapore-only design, which gives collectors a reason to hunt down the limited-edition pieces.

Every Cup Wins Something

From 15 to 17 November, every large BO·YA Mango Jasmine Green, BO·YA Jasmine Green, Peach Oolong or Da Hong Pao Milk Tea bought at participating stores comes in a Tear & Win cup. Each cup has a prize inside, ranging from vouchers and merchandise up to an Apple iPhone Duo and Dyson hairdryers.

There are two conditions to know. You’ll need to buy one of those four drinks in a large size, and the cups come in limited quantities each day, so later-in-the-day visits may miss out. CHAGEE says the promotion began as a store-opening tradition and now runs nationwide as a thank-you to customers.
