Gangstar Mirage City’s Halloween Update: 50-Player Syndicates and a Supplement Empire

Gangstar Mirage City got its first major update on 29 October 2026, and its Halloween event, Frightful Feast, closes on 18 November, so anyone already playing has until then to collect the seasonal rewards. Level Infinite and Gameloft announced the update from Singapore, and it’s live now across Southeast Asia, South Asia, Eastern and Central Europe, MENA (the Middle East and North Africa) and LATAM (Latin America), with the companies planning a global launch in 2027.

For anyone new, Gangstar Mirage City is a free-to-play multiplayer open-world crime game for iOS and Android. It’s set in a near-future city and rated 18+. It’s the newest entry in Gameloft’s Gangstar series, which began in 2006 and has visited Los Angeles, Miami, Rio, Las Vegas and New Orleans. Level Infinite, Tencent’s global games brand, is co-publishing it.

The game is still in soft launch, a limited regional release that lets a studio test and tune a game before it goes worldwide. The companies say this update builds on feedback from players and content creators during that period. The soft launch has a regional feel: the text supports Tagalog, Indonesian and Thai alongside English, Russian, Turkish, Arabic, Brazilian Portuguese and Latin American Spanish.

Halloween Hits Mirage City

Frightful Feast is the seasonal headline, and it fills the map with haunted spots for three weeks. Logging in each day earns rewards meant to help with progression and fights. Marked locations lead to spooky decorations and special contact missions (the jobs handed out by the game’s quest-givers), and new areas open up too, including Hilltop Park and a new campsite.

While you roam, ghosts appear at random, and haunted houses host shootouts. Regular quests pick up extra side tasks that count towards Season Pass milestones. Your usual grind keeps paying out during the event, so Halloween won’t feel like a detour from progress.

Vice Tonic Is the Real Prize

The decorations come down after 18 November, but Vice Tonic is permanent, and it’s the addition most likely to change how players spend their evenings in the game. The companies say it answers one of the community’s most-requested features: a business you run yourself. You play a Supplement Developer supplying a city obsessed with the stuff, while a city-wide investigation closes in.

You start with a small warehouse and make delivery runs past checkpoints and reinforced patrols run by Orarra. Over time, that setup grows into a massive factory with automatic production, supply and distribution, and you design the factory yourself. A climb from a cramped storeroom to an automated plant gives players a reason to open the app every night, which is what a game in soft launch needs most!

50 Friends, One Syndicate

The other big arrival is Syndicates, crews of up to 50 players that you can create or join. Members can team up, compare progress, show off what they’ve built and take on rival groups in Syndicate Wars for control of the city.

Syndicates connect to Blackbook, a new permanent card collection tied to the Season Pass. You earn randomised card packs from missions and Season Pass tiers, uncover fragments of the game’s story as your collection grows, and claim seasonal rewards for finishing sets. Duplicates can be traded with friends and syndicate members, so a full 50-person crew doubles as a giant swap meet, and nobody has to chase the last card alone.

Pumpkin Grenades and a Tuk-Tuk

The new arsenal includes a Guided RPG (rocket-propelled grenade launcher) and a flamethrower. The weapon players will remember, though, is the limited-time Pumpkin Grenade, which turns a target’s head into a pumpkin that swells until it bursts. You can throw it at opponents, teammates or yourself, which is a recipe for some very silly group chats.

Among the vehicles, our pick is the three-seat Tuk-Tuk, a ride Southeast Asian players will recognise from the streets. The driver can pull a wheelie boost while the two rear passengers fire SMGs (submachine guns), assault rifles or shotguns, and that turns a humble three-wheeler into a getaway car built for friends. The Nomad Pro is a two-seat RV (recreational vehicle) with a customisable interior and an onboard pod that produces daily yields. The Razor is a two-seat supercar with autonomous driving.

Mind the Pink Diamonds

The update brings the fifth Empire Pass, called Dance with Death, with reworked rewards and structure. New vehicle, weapon and outfit collections have landed in the in-game shop as well.

A pink diamond recharge campaign is coming too. Players who top up during the campaign get double the pink diamonds, and those who recharge enough unlock an exclusive pair of cosmetic wings called “Take to the Sky”. Double currency is tempting, but the wings are purely cosmetic, so set a budget before a flashy accessory talks you into one more top-up.

What Early Players Say

Soft-launch reviews have been encouraging, with caveats. Sportskeeda scored the game 7/10, praising its responsive gunplay and arcade driving while flagging frame drops and overheating on mid-range phones. A Fanstanza reviewer who played the soft launch in the Philippines liked the easy combat controls, but found that slow rendering of other players can let opponents shoot first in player-versus-player fights.

The companies say this update includes gameplay, balancing and technical improvements. Players on mid-range phones should check whether those fixes smooth out the frame drops, because a 50-player Syndicate War will test performance harder than any solo mission.

The Rest of the Season

Frightful Feast is only the opening act. Level Infinite and Gameloft have listed the events below as planned dates:

  • Double Cash from contact missions starts 5 November.
  • The Tuk-Tuk Derby starts 12 November.
  • Agent’s War starts 19 November, a multi-phase rivalry with rewards at every stage and bonuses for the winning side.
  • UGC (user-generated content) racing maps open on 19 November.
  • Franchise Fury runs from 19 November to 9 December, a turf war between the O-Rage and The Family factions, with more rewards for the winning side.
  • Double arena rewards start 26 November.
  • A tasting-station event starts 3 December.

The Tuk-Tuk Derby is the date we’d circle, since it puts the update’s best new vehicle in a race of its own. The companies have promised another update later in the season.
