Finally Book That Christmas Catch-Up at the Marmalade Pantry

The Marmalade Pantry is serving its new Festive Moments Afternoon Tea from 2 November 2026 to 31 January 2027 at all its outlets, priced at S$58++ for two. That’s three months to turn the group chat’s “we should catch up” into a booking at ION Orchard, Oasia Hotel Downtown or Oasia Hotel Novena.

Your Group Chat Needs a Deadline

Most of us have one chat where “we should meet!” comes up every few months and nobody opens a calendar. A seasonal menu with an end date fixes that. The set is on a limited run that ends on 31 January, so someone has to pick a Saturday, and everyone else gets a reason to say yes.

The Marmalade Pantry pitches the tea as a way to “reconnect with loved ones over good food and conversation”. Because each set is priced for two, it suits a best-friend reunion or a small group pairing off over a couple of stands.

For readers outside Singapore, the “++” on local menus means a service charge and GST (Goods and Services Tax) are added on top, so the final bill comes in above S$58. Split two ways, that still makes it one of the friendlier ways to do a sit-down Christmas treat. If you want more ideas for the season’s eating, our Christmas Foods 2024 roundup is a handy place to start.

Sweets With a Spice Rack

According to the brand’s menu descriptions, the Petite Orange Ginger Cupcake is a soft cake spiced with cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger, topped with orange cream cheese frosting, pistachios and white chocolate wafer balls.

Our pick for the table is the Caramelised Cashew Nut Tart. The Marmalade Pantry says it takes inspiration from classic pecan pie and swaps in cashews, sunflower seeds and cranberries, with cinnamon running through it. On paper, it’s the most Christmas-coded bite on the stand, which makes it the likeliest cause of a polite standoff over the last piece.

Then come the Raisin Scones, which arrive with double cream and a ginger yuzu marmalade. A place called The Marmalade Pantry putting its own marmalade on the table is exactly what you’d hope for!

The Savoury Tier Gets Playful

The wildcard is the Smoked Salmon Mousse Focaccia. It’s the bite most likely to split your table, and arguing over it is half the fun of a catch-up anyway.

The Fig Garden Tart comes with a tomato salsa, while the Roasted Zucchini Sandwich layers roasted zucchini over a feta and garlic spread that the brand says is made in-house. If a friend wants something familiar, steer them towards that sandwich.

Tea, Fizz or Prosecco?

Every set includes two pots of Gryphon Tea.

For something extra, an optional wine pairing costs S$20++ for two glasses, with a choice of house-pour red, white or rosé, or Prosecco.

That works out to S$10++ a glass for the pairing, barely more than a single fizz. If the catch-up deserves a proper toast, the Prosecco is the better deal.

Pick Your Outlet

The tea runs across all three branches, so choose by who’s coming. ION Orchard makes sense if the afternoon starts with Christmas shopping on Orchard Road. Oasia Hotel Downtown on Peck Seah Street is handy for colleagues-turned-friends meeting near the office. Oasia Hotel Novena works if the group lives up north and fancies a slow weekend lepak, which is local slang for hanging out with no fixed plans.

The Marmalade Pantry has been home-grown since 1999 and belongs to Commonwealth Concepts, the group that also runs PastaMania and Fat Cow.
