The Duet Everyone Waited For
If the name is new to you, Zach Bryan is the songwriter and former US Navy serviceman who self-released his 2019 debut DeAnn before signing with Warner Records. His January 2026 album With Heaven On Top debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and his 2023 duet I Remember Everything with Kacey Musgraves opened at No. 1 on the Hot 100. On 3 October, he played to 73,538 people at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts. Gillette Stadium itself posted that figure as an attendance record.
Lana Del Rey has been drifting towards country for a while. She told W magazine that “the majority” of her forthcoming album would have “a country flair”. Her September Instagram tease, captioned “Whale, we finally got our song done. And that’s no lie,” hid the title in plain sight. According to Warner, the post reached over 1.4 million fans.
The finished track is track three on the new EP, Young Manhood and Other Donatable Organs. Rolling Stone Australia calls it a “delicate duet” that opens on piano and glittering strings. Bryan takes the first verse before Del Rey arrives. The hook (“Tell me your lies babe, your sweet little lies”) asks to be fooled a little longer, a plea Del Rey has been circling her whole career, now set to a country tune.
Not everyone is cheering. The Express reported that some social media users criticised Del Rey for appearing on the project, so expect the comment sections to stay spicy. Still, the pairing works on paper and on record, and it’s the clear first listen of the week.
The rest of the EP leans on songs fans have heard live, like Robot Killed The Working Man and Backwards, plus Plainsman with fellow Oklahomans Turnpike Troubadours for anyone wanting the twangier collaboration.
Getting Tickets for the 2027 Stadium Tour
Bryan announced a 2027 stadium tour alongside the EP: 23 shows across 19 stadiums in North America and Australia, with no Asian dates. Here’s what Singapore fans need to know:

SVRN Asks a Loaded Question
SVRN (pronounced Sovereign) pairs contemporary pop with disco R&B on ONE THING I CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT. It’s a groove-heavy single where the woman in the story doubles as a stand-in for money. The song came out of a songwriting camp with Josh Cumbee and Gaston Pong, was executive produced by Gak Mook-Ek, and borrows its sheen from ’80s and ’90s pop.
The music video is a dance performance set against nightlife scenes of vice. The Harlemshake team and a choreographer from Japan handled the choreography. It’s the week’s most immediate listen, and the one most likely to sneak into your gym playlist!

Say Now Keep It Flirty
Following the momentum of Met My Match, the trio Say Now drop Hot & Talking. It comes from an upcoming EP produced by PinkPantheress. The chorus (“Out in this mini dress / And I love what I’m seeing”) is a playful shrug at strangers who misread a glance, and the bridge lands a joke about making babies before taking it right back. They’re playing a headline show in New York this week.

Rachel Chinouriri’s Big Second Act
London’s Rachel Chinouriri earned two BRIT Award nominations for her 2024 debut. Her second album, I think I spoke too soon, is already picking up reviews from NME and Rolling Stone UK. Focus track Pretty girls arrives with a Dora Paphides-directed video. Chinouriri calls it “the anthem for all women wanting to express who they are with the freedom to not be judged.”
Of everything this week, this is the full album most worth a front-to-back listen.
- Lollapalooza India, Mumbai: 23 to 24 Jan 2027
- Laneway Festival, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Auckland: February

Tokyo Jazz Meets Aussie R&B
Blessed came together over a two-day studio session in Tokyo. Japanese five-piece luv laid down the instrumental while Australian R&B artist BOY SODA built his vocals over their playing. Expect neo-soul chords, live-room warmth and a groove that belongs to neither artist entirely. It’s the sleeper pick for anyone who lives on late-night jazz playlists, and luv’s album wabi-sabi follows on 4 Nov.
📅 Out this week · 💿 luv’s wabi-sabi album on 4 Nov
Ashe Goes Fourth
Nashville-based Ashe releases her fourth solo album, The Girl Of Your Dreams. Lead single Lasso The Moon was road-tested on her tour with Benson Boone this summer, so if you’re catching Boone at The Star Theatre on 2 Nov, this is your warm-up listen. The song gets a music video on release day.
If you’ve seen people listing their partners’ red flags on TikTok, you’ve probably already heard Stop The Wedding!.
📅 Out this week · 🎬 Lasso The Moon video out day and date
A Ghost Story from Bangkok
Alexandria follows The Jester and The Queen with The Ghost In My Walls. She wrote it at a Bangkok writing camp in a hotel rumoured to be haunted. Listen closely: she folded real recordings of knocking, whistling and finger-tapping into the track. Maybe save this one for daylight hours.
📅 Out this week · 🎃 Built for Halloween

Where to Start
Start with Lies, because a Zach Bryan and Lana Del Rey duet is the conversation this week whether you love it or roll your eyes at it. Then give Rachel Chinouriri’s album the full-length attention it’s earning from critics, and keep Blessed for the drive home after midnight. All of these releases are rolling out through Warner Music Southeast Asia’s artists this week, so queue them up and see which one sticks!
