The Diwali Feast at SanSara runs from 4 to 8 November 2026 on Level 1 of Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel Singapore, at 392 Havelock Road. It has five plated courses at S$88++ per person, and a vegetarian version at the same price. If the Deepavali dinner plan is still a group chat nobody has answered, this one comes with a date, a price, and a menu worth arguing over.
Deepavali, as Singapore calls the Festival of Lights, falls on Sunday, 8 November 2026, and the public holiday is observed on Monday, 9 November. The feast ends on the Sunday, so anyone eyeing the holiday Monday for a long lunch should move the booking forward by a day.
Five Courses, One Curveball
The meal opens with a Breaded Cutlet, a garlic-tempered potato cake with cheese under the breadcrumbs and tamarind and mint chutney on the side. On the non-vegetarian menu it moves to a Paprika Tandoori Prawn, oven-roasted with yoghurt and paprika and served with green apple kachumber for a bit of crunch.
Then comes the curveball: Burrata Palak. It’s a ball of creamy burrata sitting on spinach purée with roasted garlic olive oil, and a Makhmali Paratha to drag through all of it. SanSara’s regular menu already lists a classic Palak Paneer Chilgoja at S$29, which makes this the kitchen riffing on its own standard. It’s the course to book the dinner for.
The fourth course is Murgh Zafrani Korma, an oven-roasted chicken leg in a saffron, cashew and cardamom gravy with ghee rice. Dessert is Akhrot Halwa, made from walnuts, sugar and clarified butter, and served with ice cream.
The restaurant’s menu names its Master Chef as Pannalal Nath, who comes from West Bengal and has a 25-year career behind him. His speciality is Awadhi cuisine, the tradition behind SanSara’s Lucknow-style galouti kebabs and its lamb dum biryani.
The Vegetarian Menu Holds Up
Hotel set menus often treat the vegetarian option as an afterthought, so it’s good to see this one priced at the same S$88++ and built with the same care. Three of the five courses are identical, and that includes the Burrata Palak, which was meat-free to begin with.
The two swaps are a Vegetable Shami Kebab, a mixed vegetable pancake with smoked yoghurt and the same green apple kachumber, and a Vegetable Korma of seasonal vegetables in the saffron and cashew gravy. A mixed table can order both versions without anyone getting the lesser dinner, which isn’t something every festive menu can claim.
Does S$88++ Add Up?
The “++” means a 10% service charge and prevailing government taxes go on top, so the final bill lands above the headline number. Even so, the maths inside SanSara’s own menus is friendly. Its other themed sets, including the Purani Delhi Khao Gali Food Festival running until 31 October, are S$98++ each.
À la carte tells the same story. A Jhinga Nisha prawn starter (S$39), a Kukkad Makhan Masala chicken main (S$33), and a Gajar Ka Halwa dessert (S$21) come to S$93 before any bread or rice arrives. Those are different dishes from the feast, but they show what three plates usually cost in this dining room.
A buffet is the better call for a big, hungry family, while SanSara’s plated format suits a table of two to four that wants to talk through dinner.
Two festive drinks can be added: a Masala Buttermilk mocktail for S$10++, or a Spiced Camikara Rum Old Fashioned for S$16++. Both top-ups sit well under SanSara’s own regular drinks list, where mocktails are S$14 and house cocktails start at S$24, so the Old Fashioned carries the bigger saving.
Nine Sweets, One Deadline
For anyone visiting relatives instead of dining out, the Diwali Mithai Gift Box is the more practical buy. It holds nine handcrafted mithai (Indian sweets) across three flavours for S$59++. The line-up is Malt Burfi, a milk fudge with a caramel-like sweetness, a ghee-rich Dry Fruit Mysore Pak, and flaky Soan Papdi finished with cardamom and pistachios.

The timeline runs like this:
- 8 October 2026: collection at the restaurant begins.
- 25 October 2026: last day for the Early Bird Special, which takes 25% off. MyMillennium members get 30% off until the same date.
- 5 November 2026: orders close.
- 8 November 2026: last day for collection.

The hotel’s listing asks for three days’ advance notice, so a box meant for a Deepavali open house needs to be ordered well before the weekend itself.
