Singapore Grand Prix 2026 Race Week: 4 Small Finds off the Track

Not every good race-week plan needs a grandstand ticket. Around the Singapore Grand Prix on 9 to 11 October 2026, there’s a Formula 1 show car parked on Sentosa, a free art show about fluid dynamics, a free fan zone at Capitol Singapore, a watch party at CHIJMES with S$4 highballs at 4pm, and a Sunday-morning community run from Andaz Singapore to Funan. Three of the four cost nothing to walk into.

These picks are for the fan without a grandstand seat, the friend who got dragged along, and the runner who’d rather earn the supper. If you’re still sorting out the circuit itself, start with the Singapore Grand Prix 2026 guide to tickets and zones, then come back here for the side quests.

A Racing Bulls Car at Sentosa

The Visa Cash App Racing Bulls show car is on display at WEAVE, the retail and lifestyle wing of Resorts World Sentosa, as part of the resort’s Festival of Thrills. Admission is free, which makes it one of the few ways to stand beside a Formula 1 car this week without a wristband.

The car stays until 12 October 2026, the day after the race, so you don’t need to squeeze it in between sessions. The wider Festival of Thrills runs until 1 November 2026 and includes Universal Studios Singapore’s Halloween Horror Nights 14, which gives you a second reason to make the trip if the car alone feels thin.

This is also the stretch of resort where Red Bull’s athletes recently ran a freerunning race 90 feet above ground. Go on a weekday afternoon if you can. A free car display plus a race-weekend crowd means queues.

📅 Until 12 Oct · 📍 WEAVE, Resorts World Sentosa, 26 Sentosa Gateway · 💰 Free

Fluid Space at The Arts House

Fluid Space by F-LUX Art is the pick for anyone whose interest in motorsport runs out after about three laps. The exhibition starts from fluid dynamics and uses motion and transformation to echo, in the words of the exhibition’s listing, “the precision, speed and energy of motorsports”.

The race-week link makes sense: fluid dynamics is what every team on the grid spends its year chasing. The show is already open at The Arts House and runs until 13 October 2026, with complimentary admission.

It closes two days after the chequered flag. That makes Monday or Tuesday the calm window, when the barriers start coming down and the crowds have gone home. Pair it with dinner nearby for an easy evening that still feels like part of the week.

The Grand Circuit: S$4 Highballs

The Grand Circuit spreads a week of race-themed activity across two neighbouring venues, CHIJMES and Capitol Singapore, and both have free admission. The two venues keep different hours and different dates, which is where most people will trip up.

At Capitol Singapore, the Grand Circuit Fan Zone has been running since 5 October and continues to 11 October, 5pm to 10pm daily. It has the Heineken 0.0 Fan Garage for speed and reflex tests, a Lenovo Gaming Station, and the Tesla Race Challenge. The three fastest laps can win prizes, including a 3D2N Tesla Model 3 experience that The Grand Circuit’s organisers value at S$1,000.

At CHIJMES, the Jim Beam Race Weekend Watch Party takes over the Main Lawn from 8 to 11 October, 4pm to 11pm, with a big screen, a Lenovo racing simulator, live music, and a DIY Highball Cart. Early arrivals pay least. Highballs are S$4 at 4pm, S$5 at 5pm and S$6 at 6pm, then settle at S$8 from 7pm onwards, with a buy-three-get-one-free offer at that price. The S$4 highball is a CHIJMES watch party offer; the Capitol Singapore Fan Zone is a separate free fan zone with no S$4 highball offer.

Capitol also screens the sessions at its Outdoor Plaza and the Arcade at The Capitol Kempinski. The organisers list the screenings as 8.30pm to 9.14pm on Friday 9 October, 9pm to 10pm on Saturday 10 October, and 8pm to 10pm on Sunday 11 October, with a one-minute Tesla Lightshow before the Friday and Sunday screenings.

For food and drink, Hopscotch is offering three pints of Heineken for S$33++, and Nalan’s Race Week Pit Stop Set is at a promotional S$19.90++ (usual price S$33++). The roundup of where to eat, drink, and shop off the track has more ideas. The smart move is to reach CHIJMES by 4pm for the cheapest round, then wander over to Capitol when the Fan Zone opens at 5pm.

A 7am Run to a Show Car

The adidas Community Run is the only pick here that needs an alarm clock. It’s a 5km route that starts at Andaz Singapore, heads to Funan to see the Audi R26 show car, and loops back to the hotel for refreshments.

It happens once, on Sunday, 11 October 2026 at 7am, which is race day itself. The early start is the point. You finish long before the heat builds, and the rest of your day stays free ahead of the evening’s main event.

adidas and Audi have set up their Off The Grid pop-up at Funan, so the halfway stop is more than a quick photo by a barrier. You also get an unhurried look at a show car that most fans haven’t seen up close.

Sign up through the adidas Running app, and do it before the weekend so you’re not scrambling on the morning. Five kilometres at a community pace suits casual runners, so nobody needs a personal best to join in.

Serious runners chasing a tempo session should treat it as a warm-down. Everyone else gets something rare in race week: a quiet city centre and a show car with no queue.

The Garden Souq by Visit Qatar

The Garden Souq by Visit Qatar is an open-air showcase of Qatari culture, flavours and craftsmanship at Raffles Hotel Singapore. Entry is free, but registration is required. It runs from 7 to 9 October, daily from 5pm to 10pm, so Friday 9 October is the last night.

If There’s Only Time for One

For a free day out, the Racing Bulls car at WEAVE, Fluid Space at The Arts House, and The Grand Circuit all cost nothing at the door. On race weekend itself, the adidas Community Run and the CHIJMES watch party both fall on Sunday 11 October, one at each end of the day. If you can only go after the race, the Sentosa car stays until 12 October and Fluid Space until 13 October.

The single pick is The Grand Circuit. It puts the race itself on a screen, and it runs across the most days.

Resorts World Sentosa, The Arts House, CHIJMES, Capitol Singapore, and adidas each post the latest on their own pages, so check there for any change to hours before heading down. Then pick one, bring a friend who has never watched a lap, and be on the CHIJMES Main Lawn by 4pm for the S$4 highball, the cheapest round of the week.
