Raceborn Fest runs from 9 to 11 October 2026 at Guoco Midtown, and entry is free for anyone who walks up. That puts a Porsche Museum race car, a Southeast Asian debut, and professional-grade racing simulators in town on the same weekend the Singapore Grand Prix races at Marina Bay, no grandstand ticket needed.
One thing to note before planning anything: the Community Car Meet takes place on the night of 10 October. Saturday is the night to block out.
Anyone still sorting out the paid side of race weekend can lean on the Singapore Grand Prix 2026 guide for tickets and zones. This is the part of Formula 1 (F1) season that costs nothing.

The 917 Is the Headliner
Porsche has flown a classic race car in from the Porsche Museum in Zuffenhausen, Stuttgart, and it’s the one to walk towards first. The car is the 1971 Porsche 917 Kurzheck (KH), chassis number 917-023, in light blue Gulf livery with the number 21 on its bodywork.
Run by JW Automotive Engineering, it won the 1971 Spa 1,000km with Pedro Rodríguez and Jackie Oliver sharing the driving, at a recorded average speed of 249.069km/h. That figure is an average across a whole race distance, corners and all, set 55 years ago.
The 917 is scheduled to appear at Porsche at Jewel before moving to Guoco Midtown. The win, the drivers and the Spa record are covered here: the 1971 Porsche 917 and its 55-year Spa record.
Porsche says other iconic models from its back catalogue will be parked alongside it at Guoco Midtown, so the 917 won’t be standing alone.
A 911 Debut and Free Sims
The second car worth the trip is the new 911 Challenge race car, making its Southeast Asian debut. A regional first parked a few steps from a 1971 Spa winner is a tidy way to see where Porsche’s racing started and where it’s heading, without a paddock pass.
Then come the professional-grade racing simulators, which anyone can step into to test their skills on a virtual track. For readers who have sunk hours into Gran Turismo lobbies, this is the closest free approximation of the real seating position and steering weight they’ll find all weekend. If the sims are the priority, it’s smart to queue for them early and save the cars for after.
Families get their own corner with the Kids’ Driving Experience. Young racers can:
- drive pedal-powered cars
- try hands-on activities
- design their own driver’s licence
Saturday Night, Level 6
The Community Car Meet happens on the night of 10 October at Guoco Midtown Carpark A (Level 6), run in collaboration with Cars ‘N’ Kopi (kopi being local coffee, and the fuel of most weekend car meets here). Porsche owners and fans are gathering, and the organisers expect a wide variety of cars to turn up.
This is the pick for anyone who can only make one session. Museum cars sit behind barriers, but a carpark meet is where owners pop bonnets and talk about their builds, and nobody needs a driving licence to wander through.
It’s a bigger footprint than last year’s Raceborn, too. In October 2025, the activation was spread across several locations, with Porsche’s historic Renndienst van stopping at Guoco Midtown on 2 and 3 October before moving on to ION Orchard and Dempsey Hill. This year, everything sits in one place for three straight days.
The Porsche Experience Centre: Bookings Open Today
Porsche used Raceborn Fest to announce that its Porsche Experience Centre (PEC) Singapore, set to open in Changi in 2027, is open for bookings today. According to Porsche’s release of 8 October, the official website and booking platform are live at pecsingapore.com, with driving experiences from SGD 300 for a Co-Pilot experience and SGD 450 for a 30-minute guided driving session (terms and conditions apply), and slots opening from April 2027.

Porsche says it will be the 11th Porsche Experience Centre worldwide, built around a purpose-built circuit of more than two kilometres with 18 turns, and joined by dining, lifestyle and hospitality offerings, a kids’ play area, simulators and changing heritage exhibitions. It adds that every new Porsche registered in Singapore from 1 January 2027 via Porsche Singapore will include complimentary driving experiences there, depending on model and programme eligibility.
Three free days, a 249km/h piece of Spa history, and a Saturday-night carpark full of Porsches make Raceborn Fest an easy call for race weekend. Pair it with the food, shopping, and city picks for Singapore GP 2026 for a full day out, and keep an eye on Porsche as the Changi centre moves towards its planned 2027 opening. The 917 goes home eventually, so see it while it’s here!
