Have you ever kept replying to someone who only half shows up, because a quiet phone felt worse than a disappointing one? Thai singer-songwriter pami has written a song about you. Her new single _loser_ arrived on 30 September 2026. Listeners in Singapore can stream it now on Spotify for tonight’s MRT ride home, with no ticket or flight needed.
The track follows someone who knows the other person isn’t genuine and stays anyway, even if it means always being the one who loses. It’s a small, uncomfortable confession. pami wraps it in the soft bedroom pop she’s known for, so the ache sneaks up on you instead of announcing itself.

Demoed in a Single Day at an Australian Camp
loser began at a songwriting camp in Australia. There, pami sat down with co-writer Jett Blyton, and the two bonded over their own unhealthy, disappointing relationships. They wrote and produced the demo in a single day. Maribelle is credited as music producer on the track.
That origin explains the song’s tone. It grew out of comparing notes on relationships that let them down. The result feels closer to a late-night confession between friends than to a slammed-door breakup anthem.
The sharpest idea in loser is its self-awareness. Recognising the pattern doesn’t always make it easier to leave. For the person at the centre of the song, holding on means trading disappointment for a little less loneliness, because being alone feels harder to face. On paper it’s a bleak bargain, but it’s an honest one, and plenty of listeners will recognise that exact calculation from their own lives.
The official teaser offers a first look at the visuals that come with the single:
From Phuket to 12 Million Streams
If you’re meeting her for the first time, pami is a bedroom pop and indie singer-songwriter from Phuket, Thailand, who writes songs the way other people keep diaries. She made her debut under Juicey with a six-track EP (extended play) called out of nowhere, released on 21 May 2024. It leaned into warm vocals and understated melodies, with dream-pop, lo-fi and R&B (rhythm and blues) colour around the edges.

Singles such as lie, not yet and covent garden followed that year. In 2025, pity dirty and kiss me blue became fan favourites. Her 10-track debut album, _puffette_, also landed in 2025 and stretched that bedroom-pop warmth to take in jazz and city-pop influences.
Her rise since then has moved fast. According to her team, pami became a Spotify RADAR artist, played Indonesia’s LaLaLa Festival and earned recognition at Thailand’s TOTY Music Awards. This year brought cry jar on 18 March 2026 and all in. A headline East Asia tour followed this September, covering South Korea, Japan and China. None of those stops is in Singapore, so for now, fans here will be listening on their phones.
Figures supplied by her team put her at more than 12 million global streams and 2.1 million total listeners on Spotify. Figures supplied by her team put her at more than 12 million global streams, 2.1 million total listeners on Spotify and upwards of 300,000 playlist adds. Her team says listeners have been building up across the US, Taiwan and Japan. Her first release came out in May 2024.
Why the Song Stings Now
Plenty of people in their twenties and thirties know that undefined middle ground. Nobody uses a label, plans get made on the day, and “so what are we?” stays unsaid because the answer might end things.

Reading it as a Gen-Z song feels fair. Dating apps and slow-fade replies make it easy to stay half-in with someone for months, while neither person commits and neither person leaves.
What makes loser land is how little it judges. Breakup songs usually hand listeners a villain to blame or a victory to celebrate. This one stays with the person who knows better and stays regardless, which is a far more common place to find yourself.
It pairs neatly with another release from this week. will hyde and BLVCKHEART’s ‘love 4 granted’ presses on the same bruise from the side of someone whose effort went unnoticed. If you played Olivia Rodrigo’s GUTS on loop through your own messy chapters, you’ll find a quieter, gentler cousin in pami’s catalogue.
