If you want the Doom Slayer in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Call of Duty: Warzone, you’re racing a clock. The DOOM Event Pass closes on 14 October 2026 at 10am Pacific Time (PT), which is 1am on 15 October in Singapore, so a late-night session on the 14th still counts.
That leaves a little over two weeks to clear 20 rewards across a free track and a premium track. If you’re juggling work, school and a backlog of other games, that’s tight. Here’s what’s on each track, whether the premium upgrade is worth paying for, and how a late starter can still reach the end.

A Quick DOOM Refresher
DOOM is the demon-blasting first-person shooter (FPS) series that fans still hold up as a benchmark for the genre. Its silent, armoured Doom Slayer is the face of the modern games. The pass leans on that history, and one of its free rewards is a “Doom 1993” decal, a nod to the year the original first put pixelated demons on family PCs.
Putting the Slayer into a grounded military shooter is gloriously out of place, and that clash is most of the fun. Nobody expects a man in green power armour to swing a glowing katana across a Black Ops 7 map, which is exactly why people want him.
Free Versus Premium, Item by Item
Both tracks run on experience point (XP) milestones, with 10 rewards each, and you earn XP in Multiplayer, Zombies, Endgame and Warzone. The free track is mostly light flair: a “Soul Harvest” spray, a “Daisy” sticker, a “Demon Slaughter” loading screen, a “Praetor Helm” emblem, the “Doom 1993” decal, a “Mini Slayer” weapon charm and a one-hour Double Weapon XP Token. The better picks sit near the end of the list. There’s a “Researcher” skin for Wei Lin, a “Scientist” skin for Falkner and, as the final milestone, the Roc 20mm Special Weapon.
The premium track is where the Slayer lives. It adds the “Doom Slayer” Operator and a classic “Doom Guy” skin for him, plus four weapon blueprints: the “Rend” AN-94 assault rifle, the “Tear” M10 Breacher shotgun, the “BFG” Siren special weapon and the “Crucible” katana. The track rounds out with the “Evisceration” finishing move, the “Shieldsaw Revs” emote, the “Slayer’s Arrival” animated calling card and the “Doom Count” gun screen.
If you only chase three premium items, make them the Crucible, the Doom Guy skin and the BFG blueprint. The Crucible is the most ridiculous thing to carry into a firefight. Doom Guy is the one longtime fans will recognise instantly, and a BFG is the most DOOM weapon there is!
Is 1,100 COD Points Worth It?
The premium track costs 1,100 COD Points, the game’s paid currency. That’s the same price as the Season 06 Battle Pass, so the comparison is easy to make. The Battle Pass can earn back up to 1,100 COD Points through its own rewards. Every item on the Event Pass premium track is a cosmetic or a blueprint, with no points coming back, so treat it as money you’ve spent for good.
What you get for that price is a lot of Slayer. You get a full Operator with two looks, four blueprints across four weapon types, a finishing move and an emote, which is one character’s worth of gear plus a small armoury. If you’d play as the Slayer regularly, the premium track is good value. If all you want is the retro decal, the free track already covers it.
One catch matters for late starters. Paying doesn’t hand the items over straight away, because premium rewards unlock at the same XP milestones as the free ones. Buy the upgrade only if you’re confident you can grind to the end before 15 October.
Late to the Grind? Start Here
First, verify the email on your Call of Duty account if you haven’t yet. It unlocks five one-hour 2XP Level tokens, five 2XP Weapon XP tokens and five 2XP Battle Pass tokens. The pass runs on XP, so save the Level tokens for your longest evenings rather than burning them on a quick match before dinner.
Next, grind in the mode you’ll play longest, since XP from all four modes counts toward the pass. Warzone-only players should note that Endgame now needs a copy of Black Ops 7, so those free-to-play evenings belong in Warzone.
Zombies fans have a good option in Directed Mode on Rex Infernus, which guides you through the map that ended the Black Ops 7 storyline. You’ll spend less time lost and more time earning XP. For short bursts, the T.E.D.D. Trials 6v6 mode keeps matches tight, and the free track’s Double Weapon XP Token is a handy way to level whichever weapon you plan to run with the Crucible.
What Players Are Saying
Reaction has been split. Some players have praised how naturally the Slayer and his gear fit Call of Duty’s look, and the return of the classic Doomguy has been a favourite talking point. Others are less keen. Some players questioned paying for a character who might not follow them to the next Call of Duty.
The Rest of The Haunting
The Event Pass sits inside Season 06: The Haunting, which has been live since 18 September in Singapore (17 September in the US). We covered the full drop in our Season 06 launch piece, and there’s plenty here beyond demons.

Multiplayer gets two new maps, the Arctic facility of Quantum and the eerie Bloodstead. T.E.D.D. Trials runs across three Zombies-themed maps, Roadkill, Lost and Inferno. In Warzone, Haven’s Hollow has turned into Haunted Hollow, complete with a Giant Infected Mode and a Ghost Train.
The regular Battle Pass is led by new Operator Blackjack. It costs 1,100 COD Points on its own, or 2,400 COD Points as a bundle with 20 tier skips.
Camo hunters can chase the Weapon Prestige finishes for the VMP. They aren’t DOOM items, but Magma’s molten glow suits a season crawling with demons, and every match you play for them earns XP towards the Event Pass too.
