Want a Free Close Look at a Ferrari F1 Car? Clarke Quay Has One for 14 Days

Most people in Singapore only ever see a Formula 1 (F1) car as a red streak past a grandstand, or as a few pixels on a phone screen during a late-night stream. From 1 to 14 October 2026, a real Ferrari parks at Fountain Square, CQ @ Clarke Quay (3 River Valley Road), right on the riverfront, and getting close to it costs nothing. There’s no ticket to book and no circuit pass needed. You just walk in.

It’s the centrepiece of Beyond The Track, a free two-week pop-up from Ray-Ban. The brand’s partnership with Scuderia Ferrari HP, Ferrari’s F1 team, produces a whole line of team-branded eyewear. Alongside the car, the riverside square gets racing simulators, reaction games, a pit-stop tyre change, limited-edition sunglasses and a special appearance by a Scuderia Ferrari HP driver. All of it is timed to the race-season buzz already wrapping the city.

A free pop-up in the middle of town gives everyone without a circuit pass their own slice of the action. Seda Bur, General Manager of Southeast Asia retail at EssilorLuxottica, Ray-Ban’s parent company, puts the thinking plainly: “Formula 1 has become one of the world’s most influential cultural platforms, bringing together sport, fashion, entertainment and a highly engaged global audience.”

Plenty of brands say something similar every September. Beyond The Track earns the detour because most of it asks visitors to do something with their hands.

Meet the SF-23 in Person

The Scuderia Ferrari SF-23 was the team’s 2023 F1 car, and it takes centre stage at the pop-up, so visitors can study its design and engineering from a step away. For anyone who has only watched onboard footage, seeing how low and sculpted a real race car sits is its own small thrill.

The car is the photo everyone will want, which makes weekday mornings the smart move. Turn up at Fountain Square soon after the 11am opening for a shot without a stranger’s elbow creeping into the frame.

Four Challenges, One Voucher

The interactive corner has four stops. Two race simulators put visitors in a replica racing seat behind a steering wheel for a lap of the Marina Bay Street Circuit, the same streets the real drivers tackle under the lights. A Reflex Test measures reaction speed, while the Pit Stop Challenge hands over a tyre change and a ticking clock.

Record-setters who beat the clock take home exclusive Scuderia Ferrari HP merchandise while stocks last, and every participant receives a voucher redeemable at the pop-up.

With time for only one, pick the Pit Stop Challenge. Simulators draw the longest looks, but a tyre change against the clock is the most F1 thing a non-driver can do, and a friend filming it makes for a far better clip than someone hunched over a wheel.

Frames You Won’t Find Elsewhere

The Flax Fiber Limited Edition is sold only at this Clarke Quay pop-up. Its frames are made from linen fibre, which Ray-Ban says delivers serious rigidity with a raw, organic finish, so the texture looks closer to woven fabric than the glossy plastic most sunglasses wear.

The Singapore Special Edition takes its cue from the city’s night race. It pairs a black metal frame with dark grey polarised lenses, a structured double bridge and red rubber temple tips (the ends that tuck behind your ears).

Collectors should prioritise the Flax Fiber, since this pop-up is the only place to get it, and a slightly kiasu (Singlish for scared of missing out) visit in the opening days makes sense. The Singapore Special Edition is the easier everyday pair: those red tips are a subtle race-week souvenir that still passes as regular shades come November. The full line-up is on the Beyond The Track site.

Charles Leclerc Drops By on 7 October

As part of Ray-Ban’s partnership with Scuderia Ferrari HP, Scuderia Ferrari HP driver Charles Leclerc will make a special appearance at the pop-up on Wednesday 7 October, from 5pm. Fans can see him up close at Fountain Square and hear from him in a special on-stage segment, which is about as close as most local fans will get to the team without a paddock pass.

The venue is leaning into the moment too. Nicholas Lee, Centre Manager of CQ @ Clarke Quay, says the mall looks forward to “welcoming race fans and visitors from around the world to immerse themselves in the race-week atmosphere”, and the riverfront’s evening crowd suits a pop-up that stays open till 10pm.

Engrave It, Then Wear It

A wider Ray-Ban range sits on display, including the Ray-Ban Meta AI glasses, the smart glasses Ray-Ban makes with Meta, with AI short for artificial intelligence. It’s a handy chance to try a pair on your own face before committing. Live engraving, available only at the pop-up, lets you personalise selected eyewear and cases on the spot.

Fans after something to wear on race weekend can browse the PUMA for Scuderia Ferrari Replica Collection, official team apparel in Ferrari’s signature colours. Between a personalised case and a team shirt, it’s easy to leave looking like you came straight from the paddock.

Plan Around the Closures

The pop-up runs daily from 11am to 10pm, with two exceptions for scheduled events. It closes from 6pm to 9.30pm on 1 October, so skip that window, and from 2pm to 6.30pm on 7 October, around Leclerc’s 5pm appearance for the Ray-Ban and Scuderia Ferrari HP partnership.

The best evenings are 2 to 4 October, when Music Matters Live brings live performances and projection mapping to CQ @ Clarke Quay from 7pm. Squeeze in the games before dinner and stay for the music after. On 7 October, the pop-up reopens at 6.30pm, half an hour before the show starts, which is tight but workable.
