Plenty of green soju bottles get passed around the Korean barbecue restaurants of Tanjong Pagar on a Friday night, but only one brand now has V of BTS as its official face. HiteJinro has named him the first-ever global brand ambassador for JINRO Soju, and he leads “My Favorite JINRO”, the brand’s first global campaign.
Fans in Singapore don’t have to settle for watching the campaign online. A special-edition Green Grape bottle that dresses JINRO’s toad mascot as a K-pop idol is on sale in Singapore now. For members of ARMY (the name BTS fans go by) who are of drinking age, that’s a lot of new green glass to hunt down!
Singapore Fans: What You Can Get and How
- On sale in Singapore now: the JINRO Green Grape K-Pop special edition. It comes as a limited run, and Green Grape is the only flavour with the idol label.
- Two labels to collect: a pink toad and a green toad.
- What’s in the bottle: 13% ABV (alcohol by volume).
- Where to start: JINRO.sg, JINRO’s membership platform, which is only for Singapore.
- Coming later: a collectible K-Pop JINRO Toad figurine. Follow @jinro_SG on Instagram for news.
- Who can buy: people aged 18 and over only. Retailers must check your age in store, online and for takeaway orders.

Meet the K-Pop Toad
The special-edition K-Pop bottle dresses JINRO’s instantly recognisable toad in an idol-inspired outfit, and it’s only available in the Green Grape flavour. The label comes in two versions, a pink toad and a green toad, so collectors will want both lined up next to each other.

Next is the K-Pop JINRO Toad figurine, a collectible version of the mascot in K-pop-inspired styling. The home for all of this is JINRO.sg, an interactive membership platform built to draw fans deeper into the brand and welcome people new to JINRO. Which bottle would we go for? The pink toad, easily. Put it next to the figurine and the shelf looks like a photocard set come to life.
Green Grape Earned the Idol Treatment
Of all JINRO’s fruit flavours, Green Grape makes the most sense for a limited run:

- Lighter than the original: HiteJinro lists it at 13% ABV, well below the 20.1% of Chamisul Original.
- Reviewers rank it first: drinks site ThirstyBear named it “Best Overall” in its April 2026 soju flavour ranking, saying it “tastes like actual grapes, not artificial candy”.
- Blind testers agree: nine of ThirstyBear’s ten blind testers put it in their top three.
The warning worth listening to comes from the flavour’s own fans. Something this sweet goes down very easily. Drink it like the 13% spirit it is, not the grape juice it tastes like, and it stays a good night instead of a regrettable one.
Why HiteJinro Bet on V
HiteJinro announced the appointment on 3 July 2026. Korean business outlets reported it as part of a longer push to make JINRO popular overseas, not a one-off endorsement deal. At home in Korea, singer IU has fronted the brand’s Chamisul soju ads. Before V, though, nobody had held a worldwide title, so the word “first” in this announcement really counts.
Hwang Jeong-ho, executive vice president of HiteJinro’s Overseas Business Division, explained the choice on the day of the announcement: “V is the person who can best embody the brand values and sentiment that Jinro pursues.” He added that the partnership is meant to make JINRO more competitive and help it reach more drinkers around the world.
It’s a smart bet, and the reason is ARMY. BTS fans have shown before how quickly they turn a brand collaboration into an event. Singapore saw that with the LEGO BTS Dynamite pop-up in 2023. A soju brand trying to win over drinkers from Toronto to Sydney couldn’t ask for a better-connected fanbase.
A Wrong Party, 500 Million Views
The campaign opened with a main film. Marketing news site ContentGrip summed up the plot on 29 July 2026: V is invited to a party, turns up at the wrong venue, and the mix-up ends with two groups of strangers sharing JINRO. The idea is simple on purpose. Most people have walked into the wrong room at least once, and a slightly embarrassed V is far more relatable than a polished idol on a stage.
The film came with a new global tagline, Fill The Moment, which HiteJinro describes as being about warmth and human energy in everyday life. Posters, teasers and short-form clips followed. By 27 August 2026, HiteJinro reported that the campaign had passed 500 million views across JINRO’s global social channels.
The campaign moved offline as well, with outdoor ads in Times Square, Toronto, Beijing, Shanghai, Tokyo, Ho Chi Minh City, Manila, and Sydney. Singapore isn’t on that billboard list. Instead, fans here can hold the campaign in their hands, in the form of a bottle.
Before You Stock Up
Singapore law bans selling or supplying alcohol to anyone under 18, and retailers have to check age for online and takeaway orders as well as in store. That makes the special edition a collectible for fans of legal drinking age only. However loud the fandom gets, nobody underage should be buying these bottles.
A global idol, a sweet 13% soju and a toad in stage clothes sound like an odd mix, but together they make a routine soju run feel like a collectible hunt. Sign up at JINRO.sg to join the membership platform and follow @jinro_SG on Instagram for news on the K-Pop JINRO Toad figurine. Then pick up a Green Grape special edition, invite your drinking-age friends and make sure everyone knows which venue the party is at!
