Name three pop stars. Now name a pair of shoes after each one and explain why without sounding like you’re reaching. Sonia Chew has an answer, and it holds together better than most celebrity collabs manage.

The 987FM presenter is launching her first shoe collection with homegrown footwear brand prettyFIT on 17 September 2026. Each of the three styles takes the name of a female artist she loves: the Raye Sandals, the Charli Flats, and the Billie Sneakers. Three shoes, three moods, one very Gen-Z premise.
The capsule is called “On Air. Off Air. On Point”, which reads like a tagline until you notice it doubles as the organising idea. Poised when she’s in the spotlight. Softer for dressier nights. Laidback once the mic is off.
The Pop Star Names Hold Up
Plenty of collabs put a famous name on the box and call that a concept. This one did the homework. The three artists were picked for their distinct styles and personalities, then mapped to the mood of a specific shoe, which is why the sneaker is the loosest pair in the set and the heel is the dressiest.

The Charli Flats (S$83.90) go after Charli XCX’s grungy aesthetic and the babydoll touches that keep softening it. The shoe pulls the same trick: a contemporary spin on the Mary Jane with a sweet flat toe, leather and satin crisscross straps, and just enough structure to stop the whole thing tipping into twee.
The Billie Sneakers (S$89.90) are the easy one. Billie Eilish built a whole visual identity on streetwear and a love of sneakers, so a slip-on-and-go trainer with contrast laces lands as an homage with barely any translation needed.
The Raye Sandals (S$79.90) chase RAYE’s Hollywood-inspired glamour with a sleek 8cm heel and a delicate strap that frames the foot. This is the pair built for an entrance. It’s also the cheapest of the three, which feels backwards for the most dressed-up shoe in the capsule.

The Colour Names Are Doing the Most
Someone at prettyFIT was hungry. The sandals come in Blueberry Mochi, Lemon Chiffon, and Espresso Martini. The flats arrive in Mocha Tart, Cherry Pie, and Crème Brûlée. The sneakers split into Panna Cotta and Burnt Caramel. It’s a dessert menu with sizes attached, and it works, because Espresso Martini tells you more about a shade of brown than “dark brown” ever will.
Sizes run 35 to 40 for the sandals and flats, and 35 to 41 for the sneakers. Check yours against that range before launch day, because a three-style capsule is a small run and no restock has been announced.
Which Pair to Chase First
If there’s one pair to queue for, it’s the Billie Sneakers, and the reason is the hardware. Each colourway arrives with two sets of contrasting laces: Panna Cotta with red and white, Burnt Caramel with brown and green. Then come the customisable silver charms, shaped like stars, microphones, and headphones, that hook straight onto the laces.

A subtle “S” logo sits on every pair as a nod to Sonia. Add it up and you have a shoe you can change your mind about twice a week for S$89.90, which makes it the most interesting thing in the capsule by a distance.
Second pick, the Charli Flats. Smooth cow leather and a memory foam insole count for a lot when your day genuinely runs from a morning meeting into dinner. prettyFIT has spent years selling itself on comfort tech, and a poster on the r/askSingapore subreddit wrote in March that their prettyFIT shoes are “incredibly comfortable, making it easy for me to sprint for buses while wearing them”. For a Singapore commuter, that’s about the highest compliment a shoe can collect.
The Raye Sandals are the ones to think hardest about. An 8cm heel is an 8cm heel, whatever a plush cushioned sole promises. Fit on a heel is personal, so this is the pair to try on in store rather than take on trust.

A 1994 Brand, a 2012 Radio Star
The pairing makes more sense with the history attached. prettyFIT was founded in 1994 and now runs 25 stores across five countries: Bulgaria, Indonesia, Myanmar, Singapore, and Thailand. Three decades in, it still pitches cushioning and soft materials ahead of hype, which is a quieter sell than most footwear labels bother with these days.
Chew has been a 987FM presenter since winning the 987 Radio Star competition in 2012, and she has since moved into TV and podcasting with Mediacorp’s travel series TravelSSBD and the podcast Men, Explain. This capsule is her first documented step into footwear design, which puts her among the local names turning personal taste into a product, from radio hosts building something beyond the airwaves to fashion creators carving out room in a complicated industry.
What She Says It’s For
“I’ve always believed that the right pair of shoes can change how you feel and the way you carry yourself,” Chew says in the release announcing the capsule. “This collection is my little love letter to the women who wear many hats in life, for the go-getters who chase their dreams and still make space for the small joys in between.”

She goes further in the same statement: “whether you’re attending a girl-boss power meeting or heading out for a matcha date with your besties, I hope these shoes make you feel like the best version of yourself.” Read past the phrasing and there’s a real thought sitting underneath it.
That’s the hook: a capsule made for people who show up as three slightly different versions of themselves before Tuesday is even over.
Launch day starts at 5pm on 17 September, and the three styles sit close enough in price that the only real decision is which version of your week you’re dressing for. Popular sizes in a capsule this small rarely sit around waiting.
