El Niño, Meet Typhoon: Point One’s Most Powerful Ceiling Fan Is Now Up For Pre-Order

Updated 2 September 2026: The Typhoon VSPEC-IV RS launched on 16 July 2026. The pre-order pricing of S$503 to S$629 and the 10 percent July promotion have ended; it now retails at S$559 to S$699 depending on size and colour. Current prices, add-ons, warranty and showroom details are in the FAQ at the end.

Singapore’s weather has never exactly been shy, but with El Niño expected to bring warmer and drier conditions in the second half of 2026, your ceiling fans might be working overtime very soon.

Good thing Point One Technology has picked a very dramatic time to introduce the Typhoon VSPEC-IV RS, proclaiming it to be its most powerful ceiling fan to date. Officially launching on 16 July 2026, this new beast of a fan is currently available for pre-order, which means homeowners have a short window to get ahead of the heat before everyone starts panic-refreshing their renovation group chats in desperation.

A Typhoon You’ll Actually Want In Your Living Room

Local fan brains, very serious wind business!

The Typhoon VSPEC-IV RS is built around one main promise: stronger airflow without making your home look like an industrial workshop had a baby with your ceiling.

It reaches up to 396 RPM, the highest among Point One Technology’s current ceiling fan models, and comes with glass-fibre-reinforced blades designed for strength, reduced flex and better fatigue resistance. Translation: it is not just spinning for the vibes.

At its core is Point One’s 4th-generation NeoDrive TURBO EC-Motor, developed in-house for improved power delivery, torque behaviour, thermal performance and reliability. It is also smart home-enabled, working with platforms such as Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Tuya and Smart Life.

Not Just A Big Fan For Big Rooms

The ever crazier bit is that Typhoon VSPEC-IV RS comes in 38”, 46” and 56” sizes, so it’s not only for homeowners with massive living rooms and “open-concept everything” Pinterest dreams.

Whether you’re planning for a BTO bedroom, dining area, living room, workspace or a larger open space, the range means you can pick based on your actual layout instead of forcing one giant fan into a room that clearly did not ask for it.

There’s also an optional UltraBright Light Kit, 1–100% dimming, 3,000K–5,700K colour temperature control, a physical remote, and a 10-year motor warranty when specially installed by the specialists at Point One.

Pre-Order Before The Heat Gets Personal

From 1 to 15 July, the Typhoon VSPEC-IV RS was available with a 10% pre-order promotion, with prices listed from S$503 to S$629 before add-ons (the promotion has ended; as of September 2026 it retails at S$559 to S$699). It’s also eligible for Climate Vouchers, so this could be a rather strategic time to upgrade if your current fan is just giving a gentle breeze, instead of actual relief.
