Anime Festival Asia 2025 (AFA 2025) has arrived and graces the hallowed halls of Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre once again, transforming the space into a shrine to Japanese pop culture, anime, gaming, cosplay and art!
Like with previous years, AFA 2025 is a hotbed of activity, with visitors buzzing across the convention space to experience everything on offer. We, too, got the chance to partake in the festivities, so join us in seeing the highlights from the event.
AFA NEXT STAGE
The Akiba Stage got a makeover for this year! Now dubbed AFA NEXT STAGE, it features a new stage layout that makes it more immersive for the audience and lets them better engage with the artists performing on stage.
Creators Hub
Anime Festival Asia’s iconic artist alley is back in full force this year, showcasing a whopping 158 booths filled with illustrators, crafters and more!
They say that variety is the spice of life, and that is evident with the line-up of creators at Creators Hub, exhibiting all manner of merchandise for the AFA 2025 crowd.
Game On
Besides the wealth of anime experiences, the AFA 2025 convention space also has a special area dedicated to gaming! Game On boasts big-name developers and publishers like Bandai Namco Entertainment, who were there to showcase their upcoming titles like Code Vein 2, My Hero Academia: All’s Justice, and The Blood of Dawnwalker.
Crunchyroll
For frequent visitors to Anime Festival Asia, you’ll also see the return of the Crunchyroll booth—one of the largest you can find at the event!
This year’s booth features new immersive experiences, with Crunchyroll offering several interactive zones for visitors. Come meet the giant inflatables of Tanjiro and Shinobu from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, snap a pic of yourself sitting on the dramatic “Praise the Fool” throne from Lord of Mysteries, or try your hand at the Fire Force-themed button challenge.
Day Stage and I LOVE ANISONG Music Festival
Away from the lively convention hall, the AFA Day Stage is holding special events throughout the duration of AFA 2025.
Special guests took to the stage, including popular YouTuber Gigguk, voice actors from ”Frieren: Beyond the Journey’s End”, Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX!, “The Holy Grail of Eris”, and “The Apothecary Diaries”.
Come evening, the lights and sound go up as I LOVE ANISONG Music Festival begins! A rotating line-up of artists, including asmi, Sakurazaka46, nonoc, and more, heat up the stage as they perform fan-favourite anisongs!
Cosplays
And of course, we can’t forget about the cosplays! AFA 2025 is the place to be to see all the wonderful cosplays on show, from the likes of popular shows like Frieren—we even spotted a few obscure ones too! If you recognise them, that’s additional street cred to your anime knowledge.
