After nine years at The Central, Swissbake has reopened its doors with a fresh identity and a lighter, brighter vibe. Dubbed “Your New Fresh,” the Bugis outlet officially launched on 13 October 2025, offering a revamped space that’s modern, minimalist, and irresistibly cosy.

From warm ambient lighting to Swiss-inspired wood accents, it’s a café space designed for all kinds of moments, whether you’re grinding through a power lunch between calls, having some me-time with a quiet study break, or turning the energy up a notch with a coffee-fuelled catch-up with friends.
A Spread For Every Mood
From nourishing grab-and-go meals to indulgent treats, Swissbake’s signature Kraftwiches, freshly baked goods, and speciality European dishes make it more than just another café. The Halal-certified menu also means everyone’s welcome to dig in!
We popped by ourselves to give the menu a go, and let’s just say we didn’t leave disappointed… or hungry. It’s not your typical café line-up: think Scandinavian Toast Skagen with juicy prawns nestled on sourdough, warm Chicken Ham and Cheese Quiches for egg lovers, and an impressive range of Kraftwiches that’ll satisfy even the hungriest of lunch-goers. Say to say, we were spoiled for choice.
We also sampled both the hot and iced chocolate drinks, and were pleasantly surprised. Unlike your average sugary café beverage, these had a deep, cocoa-forward flavour that gave just the right amount of bite, a great match with the clean, airy atmosphere provided by the café itself.
And oh, the desserts. Their Chocolate Zucchini Cupcake had us doing a double take from the name alone. We were suspicious at first, but totally sold after one bite. Moist, not too sweet, and unexpectedly addictive. If you’re the kind who “just wants something small after a meal,” good luck stopping at one.

This new Bugis outlet couldn’t be better placed. Office workers in the area will find Swissbake a reliable option for a quick yet filling meal (those Kraftwich portions pack a punch), while gym-goers and health-conscious eaters will appreciate the balance of nutrition and flavour in their salads, grain bowls, and protein-rich mains.
Students or café hoppers will love the casual setting for work, conversation, or a good ol’ coffee break. Plus, with a comfortably priced menu, it’s a nice break from cafés that charge premium rates for subpar options.
