Here’s the Full Lineup for the National Gallery Singapore’s 10th Birthday Bash!

Surprise! Did you know the National Gallery Singapore is turning 10 this November? If not, no worries — there’ll be an unforgettable party across both its national monuments on 15 and 16 November 2025 to commemorate this milestone, and obviously, you’re invited!

Known otherwise as the Gallery’s 10th Birthday Bash, this weekend-long celebration promises (among other things) a matcha rave, 13 limited-time brand collabs, and plenty of cake. So if you’re ready to enjoy a decade’s worth of fun at one of the greatest museums in the world, here’s what the National Gallery has in stall for its birthday guests!

Still Life Birthday Cakes

First, even before the weekend celebrations themselves start, the gallery is easing into the birthday mood with Still Life Birthday Cakes — a daily drop-in activity at the Keppel Centre for Art Education’s Expression Workshop, where kids of all ages can paint, draw, or sculpt their own masterpieces.

Extended Hours and Free Exhibitions

Then, on the actual weekend, the National Gallery will extend its opening hours and stay open from 10 am to 10 pm, where all 10 of its exhibits will also be open for free. Notably, this includes the upcoming Into the Modern: Impressionism from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston special exhibition that would otherwise cost S$15 to enter as an adult Singaporean as well, so don’t miss the special chance to catch it and more.

Free Milo and Old Chang Kee

Continuing in line with the theme of free stuff, the magic of MILO van will be making a pit stop at the Padang Entrance from 10 am to 12 pm to serve the sweet nectar all past and present Singaporean students know and love. The Old Chang Kee Mobile Food Truck will also be arriving that same afternoon with the brand’s classic curry puffs and local snacks, so make sure to feast on these familiar flavours.

Though it’s pretty difficult to imagine you’ll still be peckish after attending Gallery Turns 10: Celebrating with Cake, since for a small fee that’ll be donated to the National Gallery, you can enjoy a variety of treats from the best bakeries around. Meanwhile, over at the Keppel Centre for Art Education, the popular Messy Morning for the Little Ones is returning with a cake theme for children aged 3 to 5 to creatively mark the occasion. Look forward to loads of hands-on sensory play for not just the kids, but the whole family too.

Then, when night falls, be prepared to party at the same Keppel Centre for Art Education in KCAE After Dark: Grown-Ups Only! — an after-hours playground, which, like its name suggests, caters strictly to adults with a live DJ, immersive installations, and more. However, unlike what its name suggests, there’ll also be many moments for play, so feel free to let your inner child out.

Of course, one major highlight of the National Gallery’s 10th Birthday Bash is the 10th Anniversary Edition of Artsplaining featuring Liu Ling Ling, Shazza, Kisham, and Gurmit Singh. Together with a gallery specialist, each of these local talents will host a light-hearted and dialogue-driven tour while sharing their own perspectives, offering visitors an insightful and entertaining look into appreciating art.

Furthermore, if you head down on 16 November, you’ll be able to draw something yourself at the 10th Anniversary Edition of Sketch Chapter — an interdisciplinary sketching session that combines the mentorship of the NAFA Centre for Lifelong Education with the gallery’s iconic environment, letting even the most unskilled of beginners learn in a relaxing setting.
