The latest Kopitiam Food Hall has recently opened at VivoCity, boasting over 30 curated food stalls with different varieties of flavours across Singapore and Asian cuisine—11 of which are Muslim friendly.
The new 616-seater venue also features a multisensorial experience for visitors, with murals to admire while eating and an AI avatar that they can interact with. Here’s what you can find at the new VivoCity Kopitiam Food Hall.
Food
Diners at VivoCity’s Kopitiam Food Hall will find a wide range of cuisines to choose from when they make their visit, with 32 stalls in total at the venue.
Among the highlights are Michelin-listed Ann Chin Handmade Popiah and Royal Rojak, offering up two Singaporean street favourites in the comfort of an air-conditioned space. There are also Chinese classics like mala from Monster Chilli Mala Hot Pot and Steamed Fish from Ying Jia Steam Fish to savour. As for those hankering for Western food, Flint Specialty Grill & Bar offers charcoal-grilled meats, chicken, pasta, as well as a curated selection of wines, beers, spirits and cocktails.
Muslim diners, meanwhile, can enjoy a decent range of cuisine options among the 11 muslim-friendly food stalls. Visitors can grab a comforting bowl of Yong
Tau Foo with Hua Zai Ampang Yong Tau Foo, savour some Korean delights at Kim Dae Bak Korean, or enjoy traditional, Kampung-styled Malay and Indonesian cuisine through Hajah Maimunah Nasi Padang.
And if you’re game to try something unique, Kopitiam Food Hall at VivoCity also has innovative concepts like HomeWok, where you can view AI-powered robots cooking up Asian-inspired rice bowls using freshly made ingredients. This marks the third outlet for the chain after opening stores at Great World City and Thomson Plaza.
Dining space
Kopitiam Food Hall VivoCity has elevated the dining experience for visitors by incorporating illustrations and murals to add vibrancy to the space.
Collaborating with local urban artists, Ink and Clog Studio, visitors will get to see dazzling motifs of different food dishes spread across every corner of the dining space. The motifs feature vibrant colours, neon accents, and textured finishes to evoke a lively market-like atmosphere while diners enjoy the diverse array of food available.
Interactive AI avatar
Also at Kopitiam Food Hall VivoCity, you can meet and interact with AI avatar ‘Kimberly’, who offers a personalised dining experience to visitors. If you aren’t sure what to get when you arrive, you can request ‘Kimberly’ to suggest food and drink pairings.
‘Kimberly’ also offers other forms of assistance, such as giving real-time information on seat availability, taking song requests, and providing multilingual assistance in English, Mandarin, Bahasa Melayu, Tamil, Japanese, Korean, and even local dialects.
