Killjoys, it’s finally time. After an almost two-decade-long absence, My Chemical Romance is coming to Singapore! The emo music icons are returning on 28 April 2026, which sees the band performing at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
It comes as part of their South East Asia tour, where the band will also be visiting South Korea, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, and Indonesia. My Chemical Romance is currently touring North America and Canada as part of their Long Live The Black Parade Tour, with the group playing their seminal second album The Black Parade in its entirety during the tour. The North American tour will end on 20 September 2025 in Atlanta.
Ticket sales will begin at 10am on 11 July 2025 through SISTIC, with prices for seats ranging between S$148 and S$328. The Singapore tour is being organised by Midas Promotions, who are also co-presenting the show with promoter Akselerasi Entertainment.
The tour continues a period of resurgence for the band. Dominating the 2000s with tracks like Welcome To The Black Parade, Teenagers, and Helena, My Chemical Romance were a cultural phenomenon among young adults with their punk style and energy. Though the band were working on their fifth studio album The Paper Kingdom, in 2013, they made the sudden and sad announcement that they were disbanding.
Ultimately, as Welcome To The Black Parade loudly exclaims – My Chemical Romance does say “We’ll carry on!”. The group announced in 2019 that they were reuniting to the delight of fans, and the band have been touring ever since.
Fans are certainly clamouring for new material—new album, perhaps?—but having My Chemical Romance return to Singapore after such a long period of time is more than enough to satiate our emo side.
