Xbox Games Showcase 2025 has just concluded, and wow, was it a big show. The two-hour showcase was chock-full of surprising reveals and fresh looks at highly anticipated titles.

The Outer Worlds 2 Reveals Release Date in New Trailer
The Outer Worlds 2 has come back into the spotlight in a big way, starting off Xbox Games Showcase 2025 with a new trailer for the game and announcing its release date of 29 October 2025.
High on Life 2 Announced
High on Life, a comedic FPS game by Justin Roiland-founded game studio Squanch Games, is getting a sequel! High on Life 2 is slated to launch in winter this year.
Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy Is A New Prequel In The Plague Tale Series
Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is a new game in the Plague Tale series, this time set 15 years before A Plague Tale: Requiem and focusing on a familiar character, Sophia. Players will be able to play the game in 2026.
Xbox Pulls The Curtain on Its Handheld Console: ROG Xbox Ally
The recent success of handheld game systems sees Xbox entering the fray. Partnering with ASUS, Xbox is releasing not one, but two handheld consoles.
Introducing the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X, which allows players to access their library of games from the Windows PC game store, Xbox, Battle.net, Steam, GOG, and Ubisoft Connect. You’ll be able to download games natively to the system or play straight from the cloud.
What’s more, the highly anticipated Hollow Knight: Silksong is available at launch in Game Pass when the ROG Xbox Ally systems release later this year.
The Blood of Dawnwalker Showcases New Trailer
The Blood of Dawnwalker from new studio Rebel Wolves presented their latest trailer at the Xbox Games Showcase 2025, showing off more of the game’s story as well as snippets of gameplay.
Notably, it also gave us a small update on its release. It is slated to launch sometime in 2026.
Super Meat Boy 3D Unveils New 3D Look and Gameplay
Super Meat Boy is back! Though this time, he’ll be avoiding buzzsaws in a different way. Super Meat Boy 3D changes from 2D to 3D, but rest assured, platforming is once again at the forefront of this game. Fans will get to play the latest game in the series when it launches in early 2026.
NINJA GAIDEN 4 Gets A Bloody New Trailer
Team NINJA brought out a new trailer for NINJA GAIDEN 4, showing off some new visceral gameplay. It also unveiled the release date for the game, which is launching on 21 October 2025.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Continues The Adventure With The Order of Giants DLC
We’ve enjoyed our time with Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and we are even more excited to learn that we can continue adventuring with Indy with the announcement that developer MachineGames is working on DLC for the game.
The Order of Giants sees Indiana Jones involved again with the Nephilim Order, who played a large role in the main game. The DLC is set to launch on 4 September 2025, so we don’t have to wait long to experience it.
Beast of Reincarnation From Game Freak Is A New Action Adventure Game
Game Freak is working on more than Pokémon! The studio presented their latest game alongside publisher Fictions – Beast of Reincarnation.
Previously code-named Project Bloom, Beast of Reincarnation is an action adventure game that follows Emma the Sealer as she battles through a post-apocalyptic Japan. GameFreak is letting the game cook a little longer, with the release window slated for 2026.
Clockwork Revolution Features Time-centric Gameplay in Hefty Trailer
Clockwork Revolution had a massive blowout at Xbox Games Showcase 2025, with it showing the longest trailer of the showcase.
There is lots to go through. The trailer introduced us to several characters we’ll see in the game, while also teasing the custom character creation. Clockwork Revolution also features a speech system, though we don’t know the full extent of the choices you make.
Gameplay-wise, we got a look at weapon-modding, the first-person shooting, and most importantly, how changing time plays a role in the game.
Unfortunately, they weren’t as generous with the release date. InXile Entertainment says that the game will be “coming in due time”, but given how much they showed, we can be a little more patient for its launch.
Grounded 2 Sprouts Up In July
The popular co-op game Grounded is another game getting a sequel. Grounded 2 shrinks players down again for another cooperative survival adventure, with the game launching in Game Preview on 29 July 2025.
Cronos: The New Dawn Comes Fall 2025
Bloober Team’s new third-person survival horror game Cronos: The New Dawn received a new gameplay trailer at the showcase, showing more grotesque environments and monsters to face. It will be coming out in Fall 2025.
The Elder Scrolls: Online Gets Catty With Seasons of the Worm Cult Trailer
Cats were a big part of the The Elder Scrolls Online – Seasons of the Worm Cult trailer. The new content arrives on 18 June 2025.
DON’T NOD Reveals Its New Game Aphelion
Don’t Nod Entertainment presented their new game Aphelion, a sci-fi action-adventure title focusing on protagonist and astronaut Arianne, who gets stranded on a frozen planet. Interestingly, the game is also being made in collaboration with the European Space Agency!
Aphelion is slated to launch sometime in 2026.
There Are No Ghosts at the Grand Is A Quirky Mixed Genre Game
Friday Sundae’s game, There Are No Ghosts at the Grand, was one of the more interesting presentations at Xbox Games Showcase 2025.
The game is described as a narrative-driven musical adventure game, but the trailer also featured PowerWash Simulator vibes and incorporated puzzle-solving elements.
Age of Mythology: Retold Gets New Heavenly Spear DLC
Following the release of the Immortal Pillars DLC in March, Age of Mythology: Retold is updating the game with another expansion – Heavenly Spear. This time, it introduces an all-new Japanese Panteon, and it will be available to play in Fall 2025.
Mudang: Two Hearts Is A Korean Stealth Action Game Featuring A North Korean Soldier and K-pop Star
EVR Studio from South Korea gave us a look at their new stealth action game, Mudang: Two Hearts. It centres on an alternate near future where North and South Korea reunite, but are interrupted by an attack from a mystery terrorist group.
The game follows two protagonists, a North Korean soldier and a K-pop star, with the soldier featuring more action-based gameplay while the K-pop star seems more stealth-centric. It is slated for release in 2026.
Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf Announced
Planet of Lana just came out last year, but developer Wishfully has swiftly annoucneced that it will be getting a successor called Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf. The game is set to launch in 2026.
Fallout 76 Gives Us More Of The Gone Fission Update
The Gone Fission update for Fallout 76 was recently released this month, and Xbox Games Showcase 2025 provided an extra peek for it.
Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE Arises in Fall 2025
With Solo Leveling at its peak this year (having just won Anime of the Year at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards), perhaps it is no surprise to see that it is getting a game.
Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE lets you play as Sung Jinwoo, but you don’t have to play alone, as this is also a four-player co-op game! You’ll be able to aura-farm when the game arrives in Fall 2025.
Animo Is A New Pokémon-Like Game
What if not only can you own Pokémon, but you can also play as them? That’s what Animo is about, with the Pokémon-like game presenting its vibrant trailer at Xbox Games Showcase 2025. It is being developed by Pawprint Studio and has a listed 2026 release date.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 Slides In TMNT With Launch Trailer
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 is coming out soon in July, and we got a brand new look at the game with its launch trailer.
In addition to seeing more of the game, the trailer also revealed that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are joining as skaters alongside the DOOM Slayer and Revenant.
At Fate’s End Comes From Spiritfarer Developer
The developers of Spiritfarer unveiled their new game, At Fate’s End. It’s an action title with the visuals of Spiritfarer, with the game slated for release in 2026.

Double Fine Introduces Its Latest Otherworldly Game Keeper
We’ve been wondering what Double Fine has been working on since 2021’s Psychonauts 2, and now we do. Their new game, Keeper, sees you seemingly playing as a sentient lighthouse tower and exploring a fantasy world.
And it is coming out rather soon as well! It is releasing on 17 October 2025 for both Xbox consoles and PC.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Closes The Show
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 closed out the show for Xbox Games Showcase 2025 with the reveal of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. Call of Duty is no stranger to celebrity cameos, and this time, the game stars Milo Ventimiglia in a main role. Joining him are Kiernan Shipka and Michael Rooker of Sabrina and Guardians of the Galaxy fame in what looks like another near-future setting.
