Wishing Dad good health does not have to come at the cost of good food! Man Fu Yuan’s melon-centric A Feast of Seasonal Gourds menu provides a deliciously revitalising option for Father’s Day 2025, featuring seven varieties of melon artfully woven into each dish.

With bitter gourd famed for boosting immunity and healthy digestion among other benefits, it becomes the star for the Wok-Fried Egg Omelette with Minced Pork and Bitter Gourd and Wok-Fried Angus Beef with Black Bean Sauce and Bitter Gourd dishes. Luffa also makes an appearance in the menu. Enjoy its medicinal benefits with creations like the Braised Angled Luffa with Trio Eggs and Squid, or Braised Angled Luffa with Flower Crab Meat, Crab Roe, and Tobiko.

And for one of the best places to indulge in Japanese Wagyu, you only need to look at Fat Cow. For Father’s Day 2025, the restaurant invites guests to a memorable six-course dinner menu, specially crafted by Head Chef Shingo Iijima.

The Miyazawa A5 Wagyu is at the heart of the entire experience, with Chiba Prefecture’s prized beef renowned for its distinct marbling, rich flavour, and melt-in-your-mouth texture. It starts with the Sous Vide Miyazawa A5 Rib Cap, a handpicked cut seasoned with sea salt, topped with Kaluga caviar and Hokkaido sea urchin, and served with housemade ponzu sauce. The second course brings Slow-Cooked Miyazawa A5 Rib Fingers and Inside Skirt, which is gently simmered in red wine with carrot, onion, and garlic before being finished with tender leeks and Australian finger limes.

Up next is Shabu-Shabu Miyazawa A5 Tricep. This shabu-shabu comes with a bonito broth and is accompanied by Japanese plum, ohba leaf, freshly grated radish, and a squeeze of sudachi juice. The fourth course serves up Straw-Smoked Miyazawa A5 Flank paired with red miso sauce, which brings a satisfying savouriness.

Diners can then look forward to the Charcoal-Grilled Miyazawa A5 Striploin Steak. It is served with Fat Cow’s signature Donabe Fat Rice—made with Hokkaido Nanatsuboshi rice, cooked in rendered Wagyu fat and finished with a touch of truffle oil to create a luxuriously comforting rice dish to pair with the smoky steak.
