‘Gazette du Bon Ton’ Is ATLAS’ Toast to the Golden Age of Cocktails!

What’s better than one cocktail? Why, a whole menu of course! Gazette du Bon Ton, the latest 2025 drinking menu from ATLAS, isn’t just a seasonal update, it’s a celebration of life, style, and the golden age of drinking. And as someone who lives for a well-crafted tipple and a good story to go with it, I’m obsessed!

Inspired by the influential early 20th-century French magazine of the same name – one that even helped inspire Vogue – this new menu drips with the spirit (no pun intended) and flair of the 1920s to 1940s. It’s a glamorous tribute to a time when style and celebration were everything – and cocktails were no exception! So, let’s get into it.

Gazette du Bon Ton

Designed like a luxury European lifestyle magazine, Gazette du Bon Ton is split into four evocative chapters, each capturing a different mood and moment of the era. Start your journey with En Vogue, where drinks are inspired by the elegance of 1920s fashion. Move on to To The Great Fair, an ode to the boundary-pushing innovation of the 1925 Paris World Fair.

Then comes In Full Swing, channelling the wild rhythm and rebellious joy of the Jazz Age. Finally, The Spectacle brings the curtain down with full-throttle glamour and decadent late-night drama. These chapters also cleverly ascend in alcohol strength, starting with no-ABV creations and ending with complex concoctions – a boozy crescendo through taste and time!

Now, onto the stars of the show. There’s Miss Rouge, a no-alcohol wonder that blends spiced spirit, verjus, basil tea, salt, and a nasturtium leaf – a tribute to beauty, boldness, and redefining the rules. The Streamliner takes inspiration from 1920s ocean liners, transforming pisco, fino sherry, green tea, almond, and honey into a luxuriously clarified milk punch.

ATLAS’ New Menu - Gazette du Bon Ton: Lets Misbehave
Let’s Misbehave – With a name like that, how can you resist?

If you fancy a bit of cheek, Let’s Misbehave – named after the Cole Porter anthem – mixes American gin, sloe gin, bitter bianco, spiced liqueur, and honey, with a torched cocktail onion garnish that’s as audacious as the drink itself.

Feeling moody and mysterious? Midnight in Ruins captures that bittersweet after-party glow, layering rye whiskey, cherry-infused port, Italian bitter liqueur, and grappa into something unforgettable.

And, of course, no ATLAS menu would be complete without a nod to their iconic house spirit – the ATLAS London Dry Gin, a stunning gin used in classics like the ATLAS Martini and French 75. It’s a testament to the bar’s love for gin and the pivotal role it plays in cocktail history.

The visual identity of the menu is just as breathtaking. Each page is brought to life with hand-detailed illustrations by UK artist Adrian Pack, done in the vivid pochoir style that defined the original Gazette du Bon Ton magazine. Flipping through the pages feels like browsing a collection of vintage fashion plates!
