City of Others: Asian Artists in Paris, 1920s-1940s
Start the month off with a mini-trip to Paris through the lens of Asia! From 2 April 2025, come visit City of Others: Asian Artists in Paris, 1920s-1940s at the National Gallery, the first major comparative exhibition of its kind about Asian artists and their experiences in the City of Light!
Featuring artworks by Foujita Tsuguharu, Georgette Chen, Liu Kang and more, this exhibition explores how Asian artists navigated Paris as the “Other” and their important roles in shaping the global art narrative, thus inviting visitors to reflect on themes of identity, cultural exchange, and resilience.

This event needs no explanation. It’s free ice cream; what else is there to say? FHA – Food & Beverage 2025
Speaking of food, the annual FHA-Food & Beverage trade show is back! With a projected number of over 1500 exhibitors from more than 50 countries and regions, this mega event is the ultimate one-stop platform for everything food and beverage related.
This year, some of the trade show’s main highlights include its partnership with Australia to showcase the best of Ozzie produce, the intoxicating National Cocktail Championship, and an array of country pavilions that each respectively show their best local cuisine.

Though April is the cruellest month, it doesn’t have to be that way. Enjoy a romantic night out alone or with your significant other at one of nine Candlelight Concerts that’ll be going on this month.

Tülipmania
Raise your hand if your favourite flowers are tulips! Well, for flower lovers out there, April brings about Tülipmania to Flower Dome in Gardens By The Bay. Watch as fields of tulips stretch out for miles, beautiful hues dotting the sprawl. Did you know that tulips stand for love, passion and elegance? If this isn’t perfect for a date with your loved ones, I don’t know what is.
This concept originated from the eastern reaches of Turkiye, where wild tulips bloom freely. Breathtakingly picturesque, this display of nature has inspired the colourful landscape recreated in the Flower Dome. Interspersed with these blossoms, you’ll find and explore the diverse civilisations that have shaped Türkiye’s society over time. A history lesson accompanied by these beauties? Sign me up!

What’s this? Another expo for your furry friends? Now, you can bring all your companions, small or big! PetExpo 2025 sees a whole host of different brands that cater to our furbabies, so make sure you’re not missing out! Simply scrolling through their website, we already spot so many brands that we use when caring for our pets – who knows, there might even be exclusive discounts.
Pawrents and pet enthusiasts, you have to drop by! With all kinds of programmes awaiting, you can not only stock up on your – well, your pets’ – favourite treats, but also be mesmerised by the shows and competitions! In fact, we even spotted a snake charming showcase and a guppy championship on the schedule.

Public Garden
Hey, have you heard? Public Garden is back again! Back after its December run last year, this fair is filled to the utter brim with all kinds of small businesses – both local and international ones. Held at Suntec Convention Hall, be prepared for all the little trinkets and mementoes presented!
Having dropped by the previous rendition of Public Garden, we can confidently say that it is worth every dollar spent. Wander through the event hall and sift through all the distinct treasures each vendor brings, all with their unique quirks and vibes – what else could you possibly ask for from an affair like this?
